Your question is ambiguously phrased. It could be interpreted to ask, "what do you think most people believe is the most respected profession," rather than, "what profession do you respect the most?"
If it's the former, sadly, I would have to go with sports professionals and pop singers, since that seems to be what the fan-fodder sheep are disgesting these days.
If it's the latter, then I would go with teaching.

Any profession that helps people. ie: Social Worker, (in some cases, judges, and lawyers), Police, Doctors, Psychiatrists

Anyone working in the school system, from the busdrivers to the teachers to the cafeteria workers. All are overworked and underpaid with very little or no respect from the people they serve.

Should be truck driving because if you have something or it is on the shelves of a store then it was brought by a truck. Without them the whole country would grind to a standstill.

Parent. You don't get the money everyone else wants for their job but you get something you can't buy with cash.
You hold their world in your hands and are entrusted to do what is right and just. Even when you cannot see it in your own world, you must make it so in theirs.

doctors, they save hundreds of people, and they are the reason lots of us are here, then theres other jobs that work behind the scenes, like a backbone, that are really good, even if we dont recognize it, like the people who make this site, or something
