your neighborhood? I look at some of my neighbors and I wonder if what I think they represent, is actually true. Like, the kind of job they do,if they have a shady past, are they on the run, or even... who has lots of money...etc

We don't know exactly why Judas betrayed Jesus! Jesus knew Judas would betray Him. If Judas had not betrayed Jesus and sent Him to the cross, would repentance, forgiveness, hope & eternal life still be a guarantee (free gift) to us today?

In the KJV 1 John 5:7 we read; For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

With this scripture not being in any of the original Greek manuscript's. Where did it come from to be placed in the King James Version of the Bible?

I know that Easter is on a Sunday every year, but how do they determine what day it is? It falls on different moths each year. I am asking because I was born on Easter Sunday and I recently found out that my birthday does not fall on that day again until 2062.

Why does it seem that some christians are so quick to attack other people? Its embarrasing. I read some of the answers on this site and think 'Wow, I actually share a God with some of these people?' After all, Jesus said that he who is without sin should throw the first stone.. and to be human is to sin, so no one is qualified. Does anyone have an answer for that sort of behavior? (please, no 'christians are stupid!' answers) Is it a superiority complex? (pride is sin..silly people) Has anyone noticed a coorelation between intolerance and some specific region, age group, denomination, ect? What sort of mindset does it require to ignore Jesus's actual message in favor of telling people they'll burn for eternity? Do people actually enjoy that?

The United States - population 300 million - annual murders on average 13,000. Religious: most dedicated to God in the Western World

Western Europe - population 450 million - annual murders on average - less then 25% of the US murder rate. Religious: It's there but between the drugs and prostitues no one is really paying attention to it.

Middle East - population dwindling - average monthly murder rate 4,000. Religious: The Koran is everything and all things. No booze, no smoking, no sex, no showing of too much ankle.

It seems that religion equals a more depressed society and therefore a more violent people. The Europeans having a a much more liberal society have more peace.

Should it not be the exact opposite?

I need guidence bad. I feel like Job right now...depressed. I'm 23, the only christian in my home and I know the devil's attacking but I need some encouragment, some scripture or something. My family dosn't really care for me, their too busy in their lives. I have 37 dollars in the bank, it's difficult finding a job, i'm overqualified for every job I apply for but still get no reply back. I pray, I tithe, man I feel like God's so far from me. Like nothing is going my way. The small church I attend, it seems like everyone's against me bcuz im not like them. I know God's right here by me, but man does it hurt when there isnt any money and bills are due and there isnt any food in the fridge. I understand that with victory theres pain, but wow, I dont have anyone to talk to for guidence. I read the bible, but I need someone to help in the walk. All my friends are worldly, I already discussed what my church did, and that's all i have. I stay home all day, no $ to do anything...anyone around

Just that I believe in Him or that I won't except some form of Atheistic view and look at the world through your logical yet deluted since of rationalization? Just curious as to what exactly classifies me as stupid? Oh, I believe the Bible is the written word of God too, so what classification of stupid does that make me? I got a paper invite for a party. I showed up at the door. The hostess was nowhere to be found. Her kids answered and there was garage everywhere, no cars in the lot at all. Bad sign. The hostess finally showed up and said she had cancelled the party. I had paid $25 in cab fare to get there and she never called to cancel. She had my phone number and she knew I was coming. Is that dirt low or what? She wouldn't even spend an hour with me, like sometimes you go visit a friend and they invite you in for tea for a bit, then you leave after an hour cause you know they have to do housework or something. I had to leave right away. So, what is my question? Was that low or what and should I just ignore her from now on?
