I’m not sure what I believe in, but I did study Wicca for a while. I feel sorry for those whose ignorance costs them faults within their own beliefs. I was recently trying to explain to a Christian that Wicca has nothing to do with the devil, that to believe in the devil would mean to believe in God as well, Wicca is a practice of the earth not the heavens. I also had to explain this to a girl that believed she was Wiccan, also worshiping the devil.
It’s sad to see that many people who believe in a religion haven’t any knowledge of it. I have met so many Christians that have never even read the Bible, I’ve read it twice and I do not even believe in God, it’s a good read, has all the elements of a good drama- sex, betrayal, love, hate, children without fathers, power…. But I guess they are to busy reading other smut.
I have attempted in covering most religious bases with research- all I could find was ignorance- some of the sanest ideals comes from Wicca and Buddhism.

-and it seems the religions whos creaters ask of them not to judge seem to do it the most.

Not particularly. I mean, obnoxious Bible-thumpers are obnoxious Bible-thumpers, no matter their target. Just because we aren't their topic of choice doesn't make it any better.

I'm glad that most of the regulars don't seem to be involved in attacks, towards anyone, but there's a higher incidence of attacking behavior than in some of the other places I've been in, which sucks.

No one should be attacking anyone for their religious beliefs to begin with. No religion can really prove their beliefs beyond the words they have passed down through generations and the scriptures they find holy. Whatever religion or belief system one has, it should not have to come under attack.

I have been hanging around on R&S quite a bit lately, and I see about 50 atacks against Christianity to every attack from a Christian. Even then, the Christians almost always respond with a good attitude and reasonably polite tone.... but just about every question is met with hateful anti-Christian remarks.

So where do you get the idea that Christians are attacking anyone?

Just look at the responses so far. Non-Christians say they need to educate the fundamentalists, and that it is fun to give Christians a hard time.

When we Christians on here are involved in an attack, ninety-nine times out of a hundred we're on the receiving end. Pretty good average, I'd say, for a bunch of people who are trying to live by forgiveness, not revenge.

I am not pagan or wiccan, but I think paganists and wiccans are so few in number that they're just kind of ignored. Atheists are just this big broad generalized group of people with.. as they say, "no religion", so they're just more obvious.

not really, when they attack pagans i like to answer back. i try to dispell the misconceptions. sometimes, tho, it's fun just to give them a hard time. relieves stress.. they take it all way more seriously than i do.

They attack everyone who doesn't agree with them, not just atheists.

That's the main reason I vocally and publicly don't agree with them.

It's sorta fun now that it is illegal for them to burn us anymore.

Not really. I think it's sad that they find it necessary to attack anyone.
