they seem to refuse the fact that they should be wrong. Could them accepting the fact that they could be wrong make them more open minded, something that they wish other religions/atheists were towards there faith.

To me, angels and spirit guides are very similar, as well as ghosts and angels. But what are the primary differences between all three? They all seem to share spiritual abilities not normally found in humans, including telepathy and instant movement between points in time and space.

Still, angels are considered friendly, spirit guides neutral and ghosts somewhat mischevious. What research has been ongoing on this topic? How do we know, for example, that angels are always helpful and ghosts seldom friendly?

Just something I've always wondered.

Do you even believe that human beings have souls? Or do you believe that once dead, always dead?

i'll use a fictional example
raj an 11 year old boy is good at the orphanage he lives in he does all his chores and helps the old beggar woman living in the alley next to the orphanage by bringing her scraps of food
ok so raj is practically a saint except for one thing his mother who died when he was 8 was a devout Hindu and made sure to pass this faith on to her son raj worships his god entirely and so wont accept jesus as his savior
tragedy strikes and raj is accidentally killed by a falling roof tile at the orphanage
according to the raw and uncut bible
it s access denied at the gates of heaven
how and why would religion depend on the being in the right culture to find it
raj wouldn't have any reason to question his religion as it was all he'd ever known
Christians nowadays give the vibe that they believe in evolution just not enough to burn bridges just in case there is a god out there
the subject of culture , nationality and race in religious teachings
is heavily flawed

Jesus sits on God's right side in bodily form as he was when He was on earth. That makes 3 persons who went to heaven in bodily form.

1. "It's against the bible." Not everyone in this country believes in the bible. Wasn't this argument also used to denounce women's suffrage? This also pertains to any religious argument used.

2. "They cannot conceive." With that logic infertile or elderly couples should not be able to get married either.

3. "It will lead to animal-man marriages." Right....because a dog has legal standing in court to sign a marriage certificate. I'm not even going to touch that one.

4. "It will lead to pedophilic marriages." Gay marriage is between two consenting ADULTS. And don't make me mention Catholic priests on this one.

5. "The thought of two gays marrying is sickening to me." And the thought of two idiots reproducing is sickening to me, but you don't see me trying to make a legal issue out it.

6. "It's unnatural." You're on a computer....that didn't grow on a tree, genius.

Have I missed any arguments?

First, choosing a religion out of fear it might be true and you might go to hell is not a healthy way of choosing a life path.

Second, it's not harmless to follow religion. It seperates you from other people (which limits your choices of friends, spouses, etc), it takes up tons of your life (church, prayer, study, etc) and it makes people blind to real ethical reasons for laws like gay marraige. Whether or not hell exists, I do not want to be responsible for limiting the way someone lives their life, like people do with gay marraige laws that are only in place because of religion.

Here's my Wager:
If God does not exist, an Atheist (I'm not by the way) will have lived a full life, free and without religious guilt.
If God does exist, the Atheist may or may not go to hell depending on which God ended up being true.

What do you guys think? I'm not trying to offend, I'm just trying to put things in perspective.

The meaning for this term is that you may have confidence in something, not without reason, that is not what it means, but without seeing, perhaps ever or having once seen ,not seeing continuoulsy in order to bolster your faith.
For instance your mother can go away from you but you have faith she is not dead, because of reasons that support you in that conviction. If someone were to come to you constantly saying how do you know your mother is not dead she hasn't called in the past 5 minutes,so it is you could thinkof some rational arguments why not
Now who has a better argument or the one who says that you donot know your mother is alive or the on ewho is confident his mother is alive? Whose argument and belief is more reasonable?
One is supported by reason and experience that rests in belief, the other is so called logical in the extreme and paranoid?
Which represents the believer in Christ and which represents the atheist or skeptic?and who is being more real andwho is most
right
