I like both for different reasons...christmas to remember the birth and new years to celebrate life.. unfortunately Christmas is so materialistic and has dramatically strayed from the true meaning of the celebrated holiday.

New Years, because it seems that Christmas is only about big business getting richer. The stores start advertising earlier and earlier every year, completely pushing out Thanksgiving. I also don't like receiving gifts, as I would rather just spend time with those I love.

I like Christmas time better because of all the food I get to eat. New Year's isn't so fun for me because I am not a drinker or smoker or dancer and that seems to be what most people's aims for that night are.

New Year just because the merchants start the season long before they should. Christmas stuff around Halloween --- ridiculous
