i'll use a fictional example
raj an 11 year old boy is good at the orphanage he lives in he does all his chores and helps the old beggar woman living in the alley next to the orphanage by bringing her scraps of food
ok so raj is practically a saint except for one thing his mother who died when he was 8 was a devout Hindu and made sure to pass this faith on to her son raj worships his god entirely and so wont accept jesus as his savior
tragedy strikes and raj is accidentally killed by a falling roof tile at the orphanage
according to the raw and uncut bible
it s access denied at the gates of heaven
how and why would religion depend on the being in the right culture to find it
raj wouldn't have any reason to question his religion as it was all he'd ever known
Christians nowadays give the vibe that they believe in evolution just not enough to burn bridges just in case there is a god out there
the subject of culture , nationality and race in religious teachings
is heavily flawed

Christianity is not a religion I would believe in because of the many faults and contradictions in the teachings

love thy neighbour - but not the homosexuals or the witches or the people who dont believe in God...............
Thou shalt not kill - Oh, unless its in the name of God and then you can go out and fight full wars for me!
Thou shalt not worship anyone else..... Well that's just selfish and big-headed!
And why did he send his Son to die?! It blatently didnt work did it!

And the point you have given is just another reason for why I couldn't possibly take the bible seriously!

Now don't get me wrong, I do believe in God, Just not in the power-hungry idiots who wrote the bible - They did a very poor job and got most of God's messages wrong, they did much of it on purpose too, to scare people into doing things to benefit themselves.

I believe in the Light for I have researched and found theorys that make perfect sense to me, without contradiction. It doesnt matter what we do here, we never die, we just have to come back again if we havnt learnt ourselves yet! My goal is to learn and ascend. Good Luck to everyone else and their goals...

heaven is defined by personal belief not by the beliefs of others as a hindu raj would have his own concept of an afterlife and so wuoldnt see the need to go to a bland and tedious cristian heaven.
the bible isn't the only faith to offer life after death

India had the word of God before, and as with atheist, chose to reject it. This young man is suffering from generational sin. However, God is the one who makes the final judgment, I act in accordance to his New Covenant, and proclaim the good news.
Many believers in other parts of the world do the same thing.
In Arabic nations, it is against the law to convert from Islam. Many Christians pay for their beliefs with their lives.
In America, 1000's of unborn babies are killed every year because non-believing liberals view them as just a biological mass. The lack of belief in the now pagan United States has led to severe confusion and lack of accountability. Causing grief and death through people searching for fulfillment in drug and alcohol addiction and no sense of purpose in life.

The rules are not mine, they are God's, whom by the way doesn't believe in evolution. Darwin was trying to explain creation away, evolution does not hold up to true scrutiny.
Quit worrying about Raj, and repent of your own sins. After all, the question for you since you have heard the word is this,,,

Will your seating for eternity be smoking or non- smoking?

Cowboyman talks of "generational sin" a fallacy that has been dreamed up by smug christians to support their "we are saved" status, and explain away problems such as "are pre-christian peoples saved?" and "what of those raised in other faiths?"
The whole thing stinks to high heaven - pardon the expression - of the madness that is religion. cowboyman, you are the very eqpitome of what The Life of Brian satirizes.

am i to believe that an athiest who invented a cure for world hunger would be burning in hell whilst a zealot who killed a thousand people in the lord's name would be sat in heaven eating cake?

how can you justify such a set of beliefs?

...not to mention all those in antiquity (and perhaps now) who lived their entire lives without ever knowing a man named Jesus even existed.
