Explain how heaven is perfect when the devil was an angel living in heaven and he WANTED more; he DESIRED more power..the power to be god himself. So he not only raged war on god but was able to recuit other angels that were also unhappy and wanted more??? Finally devil is an angel in heaven when he lost the war he was sent to HEll.....correct??? then where did hell come from when the devil is an angel...all forgiving god created a place like this just to send him to it and decided anyone who CROSSES me will burn forever...how forgiving of him

I would like some ideas for a christmas gift that is tasteful yet inexpensive. I have bought them a nice box of chocolate for the past 2 years and I feel like I'm being predictable and boring. I would like to keep in mind that they have 3 teenagers also. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i had bible study with tem and i learned alot. i think they have misunderstood somethings in the bible such as a women cant even conduct a bible study unless she is wearing a head covering in the presence of a babtized male. the head covering was only supose to be to show submissiveness to the husband not all males! there are alot of things i did not agree with but i still dont understand the cult thing.

Islam as a religion, never grew until Muhammad took up the sword and waged 66 battles in 10 years throughout Arabia. History vindicates the fact that every country which accepted Islam, did so by the sword. The Quran has many, verses that call for violence towards anyone that does not believe
and follow the ways of Islam.

Why is that?
I mean your pat answer is "god did it", but that's not an answer or an explanation. It's an intellectual cop-out.
How did god create the universe. After all, he can't change the fundamental laws of thermodynamics so he must have either had the raw materiels to work with, or found them. Either way, he did not create anything, he simply re-arranged matter.
And why would he even bother in the first place? If he is immortal and perfect as you say, he couldn't get lonely so why bother making teeny playmates to torture for his amusement in the first place?
You see? Your mythology makes NO sense whatsoever when you turn a critical eye towards it.
But if you want to venture an explanation, I'll read it. Be warned though, I WILL expose every logical fallacy and make fun of you for it as well.

So I've been having these dreams that my boyfriend cheats on me and I wake up feeling that it was so real and remembering everything. He would NEVER cheat on me that's the thing...I don't know why I keep dreaming this but now it's freaking me out! It's all I ever think about anymore. Does this mean anything?

I need help. My mother says not to ever play with a Ouija board. She told me a story that goes like this:
She and three of her friends were playing Ouija like 25 or 20 years ago. Two of her friends were twins. The twins, after playing, moved far, far away, and told my mother that they had explained the Ouija game to their mother. My mother had nightmares for over a year, and she would wake up screaming like she was being murdered. And her other friend that was playing ended up stabbing herself in her sleep. But I highly doubt this story. If you have any personal experiences with a Ouija board that you think may stop me and my friends from playing, please post. I am only 13 and my mother says to NEVER play. But I want other stories before I make up my mind. All I really want is to talk to my dead uncle...

Presently enjoying Constant Comment (bags only available.) Please suggest your favorite tea and whether you prefer bag or brewed? Oh, did I get the proportions right?

This is just a silly fun hypothetical question. I don't want any answers saying stuff like "its just a story, its not literally true". Just use your creativity and imaginations. There were two forbidden trees in the garden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life. What if Adam and Eve had eaten from the tree of life instead of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Presumably the world would still be corrupted, but how would it be different?

In my daily travels and contact with people in my taxi cab, religion is one of the subjects often brought up, especially when we have a religious conference in town. I've frequently asked about the Trinity Doctrine, especially of those attending a national conference like the Baptists. The standard answer is it is beyond our ability to understand, or can only be fully understood by those with significant Bible College Education. Why is that?

I have recently befriended a guy who says he is gay. and every time he meets a guy whom he likes i do the interested annoying friend thing and try to get him to pursue it further. but what he says is that he would never get involved in a committed gay relationship because, although he is gay, he plans to get married to a woman some day. he says he's not bisexual. he's just gay now, but will leave that behind as he gets older.
it's not like he's an insecure guy, quite the opposite. and all of his friends and family are very accepting of his sexuality. to everyone involved it's not an issue.
i have other very close gay friends and i know that they would probably choose the easy life of a heterosexual relationship and conventional family unit if they could, but they can't because that would be going against everything they are and feel.
even though it's none of my business really, i would really like to understand his situation more (if anyone could shed some light...?)

I have to make an essay at school about abortion. I know what Christianity thinks about it. God said not to kill. So, abortion is a wrong thing. What about other religions? If they don't agree with it tell me why (give solid arguments) and what religion is that. You could be really useful.
