As Decarte so aptly put it "Cogito ergo sum" I think therefore I am. If we defined human life as when their is a detectable EEG or brain activity by law, it would allow for euthenization of Brain dead people, and would set an agreeable time limit for legal abortions. There is no EEG until the second tri-mester.

We do a pass around every year for Christmas where we randomly pass around gifts and end up with someone elses. I need some good suggestions for gifts that are $5-10 for both sexes and a vast age range. Food/chocolates stuff like that is obvious. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

Taking your kids to see Santa at the Mall VS. Praying with your children?
Singing songs about Santa/Reindeer VS. Singing songs about God and the like?
Dressing up as Santa to surprise your kids VS. Performing religious rites?

Aren't atheists and the like just as guilty as the religious and the like when it comes to teaching our children about reality?

My in laws are a little old school and I'm pretty sure they are a little peeved about not getting the big Traditional bash where you have a Turkey and a ham and the Christmas pudding etc. My family are more than happy to have the BBQ. We have had our years of the Traditional Feast and over the last few years we've gone for the BBQ which is more relaxed and I think a little more social and to be honest, a little more AUSSIE. Maybe it's just me, I'm not a big fan on doing something just cos it's the tradition. What do you ppl think?

He was at school yelling at gay and athiest so we took a picture of him and super-emposed his picture over a gay porn picture. It was a picture of him doing a guy in the butt, and we taped it to his back. Everyone was laughing at him and he got so mad he tried to punch someone and the cops arrested him. Is this the best prank ever?

PATNA, India: Police in the eastern Indian state of Bihar on Friday dug up the remains of two teenage girls alleged to have been killed by their father in a ritual human sacrifice earlier this week. Kishor Kunal, a police official at Runisaidpur in Sitamarhi district, 160 km north of state capital Patna, said 18-year-old Renu Kumari and 13-year-old Anu Kumari were killed with a sword and then their limbs were cut into pieces.

"This is a case of human sacrifice during the festival," Kunal said. Police said the father had fled since the incident in Vasudeopur village. The human sacrifices were part of the recent 10-day Hindu festival of Dassera when people pray to Durga, a goddess who symbolises strength and power, according to police and villagers.

Police said a 40-year-old villager was also killed when a man came running with a spear, yelling "Jai Ma Durga" and slashed the head of the person sitting at a tea stall," said Akhileshwar Das, deputy superintendent of police.

I know this is an ethnocentric question but I was wondering if Chanukah's popularity has anything to do with the Jewish kids getting shafted at Christmas.
