All of my friends ridicule me for being a sucker for anything related to Christmas. Apparently it is too commercialized to actually enjoy the christmas season anymore. Am I the only one who likes the fact that Christmas lasts from early November to January? My family gets together, everything is beautiful and people are nice to one another for once. I do not see the problem.

Please explain this commandment to me. I do not uderstand exactly what "honor" means here. I mean, what if a child's parents are abusive? Does this commandment still apply? I guess some would say that it is a rule from God and applies no matter what. However, what do you think? In an abusive situation (mental, physical, or sexual) how can a child honor his/her parents?
