You're completly correct! You're friends can have their opinions, but if Christmas is something you enjoy, you should do what you please. I personally LOVE Christmas. I like the fact it lasts from November to January also. Are your friend HumBugs? Christmas is something to enjoy and shouldn't be sucked away by humbugs. YOU'RE COMPLETLY CORRECT!

You're not the only one who enjoys Christmas. It's the one time of the year that I anticipate the most. I know for some people, summer time is the best time of the year, for me, Christmas time is the best as I enjoy the cooler weather (Not that it's been that cool this year.), the decorations, sitting by a warm fireplace and spending time with family.
As soon as Halloween is over with, I'm ready to put up some decorations and have them all up by the time December first comes around. I even listen to Christmas music on a regular basis come October, not that I really stop listening to it. There are periods throughout the year when I feel like getting in the Christmas spirit and I just listen to some music for a few hours.
I don't know how old your friends are, but if they're teens/young adults, I'm certain their attitudes will change once they have families of their own. They may still hate the commercialization by then, but I'm sure they will love seeing the smiles on their childrens face as they enjoy the season.

CHRISTMAS IS COOL!
I don't care for the commercial aspect of it. I've done most Christmas shopping on-line this year to avoid, as much as possible, the crowded stores. But I've learned to look beyond these things.
I enjoy celebrating the birthday of Christ (It really doesn't matter when He was actually born.) & the preparation that goes into it. I like the decorating, the parties, the awesome food & just getting together with friends & family. And I think Midnight Mass is WAY cool.
I know that some people have issues with Christmas or it's just hard on them because they're poor, lonely or have experienced a loss. It was hard on me when I was going through my divorce.
Christmas presents a challenge for those of us who are more fortunate to make it a little bit "merrier" for those are less fortunate. Consider giving to a charity, like "Toys for Tots" or doing volunteer work, like distributing holiday dinner boxes to the needy. Or invite someone over for dinner who has no place to go.
Your friends apparently have some issues. That's their problem. Don't make it your problem. Let them do their thing & ask them to show you the same consideration. This should show what kind of friends they really are.
So, be cool by celebrating Christmas!

I consistently felt this manner. I in my view made definite that my kids consistently understood that Santa Claus used to be now not like what they see or pay attention on TV. I defined to my older youngsters who St. Nick used to be, and what his genuine tale used to be. My older youngsters have been "usual" so that they had no challenge know-how what I mentioned. But, now I have 2 sons, eleven and seven, who're autistic and make-consider is some thing they only do not appreciate. They've heard practically 2 unique reports approximately Santa Claus; mine, then the sector's, and I am beneath the affect that they see it as though there are 2 types of Santa. I have no idea if they are going to EVER appreciate the change.

If you love it, what's the problem? There is none. I'm one of the rare few I know who likes that it lasts as long as it does.
It's only as commercial as you make it out to be. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to celebrate Christmas without any commercialism. Getting together with family and enjoying the season does not require going to any store.

You are cool and so is Christmas. So your friends are small minded people! It's OK. Who really cares anyway... You can still like them.....lol Maybe they are not Christian and don't understand the significance of the spirit it brings? Maybe they are wrapped up in dates and store advertisements and miss the real message? I bet that's a good part of it. I used to get that from some of my friends from other faiths until I asked them if they had something that even came close. None of them did! As they grew older they either grew to hate it more or became understanding of it and accepted it. A few even married into a mixed religious marriages and now 'celebrate' it. Good for them! For me, it only gets better each year especially after the kids were born. It's so wonderful to share something as beautiful as Christmas and it's traditions with them.
Christmas is definitely cool!

It's WAY cool !!! What is NOT cool about decorating a tree inside you house, getting and giving lots of presents, singing and listening to great Christmas songs - and then there's the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT !!! That's people going out of their way to be kind and generous because of the season - that Christ-like behaviour. Gotta LOVE it! Enjoy. Your friends are missing out on a GREAT time!

But that don't stop me....
Christmas is not only the celebration of the birth of Jesus it is also a time for family and friends to get together and a time to bring hope, peace, and cheer to the world....

I love all aspects of Christmas....even the parts I don't believe in.
Christmas is magical and wondrous......the shopping, the buying, the crowds, the lists, the decorating, the newsletters, going over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house to be with my family and friends.
I love it all....LOL
