2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Growing up as a child I always heard you can't be perfect, God destroys and I never thought much about it until I really started studying. I have prayed to God to reveal to me his Bible truths and he has so clearly revealed it to me.Bible text can contradict themselves read the verses below.
ch10:
13So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;

i judge no one ok, but from reading what you all say about God it makes me wonder if you all study at all. I have not singled out anyone but I am displeased with the lies you tell on my God. He has never killed a living soul and until you all understand how God's wrath is really exercised you would see God as loving as I see Him.

Joe Cool you are very right that Paul said that and inspiration from God would have allowed for him to put it in that language for us to understand.2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I've tried reading the whole Bible but it is very hard to understand and yes some of it is so boring I just don't get it. I love most of the new Testament especially " The Songs Of Solomon" They are sexy, beautiful and sensitive. Also Psalms are very interesting so is Proverbs. I just read the parts I understand or think I understand. For the most part it is very interesting.

Because it's full of gems like this:

Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel

Some don't read or study the bible for several reasons. Think about all the different people and cultures in this world. Then you will understand why.

Question: I see Paul telling us to read the Bible...God asking us?
Question: If you are so loving, then why are you twisting the Bible's context and order for the purpose of condemning?

in my life time i have read the Bible thru about 15 or more times--i learn something each time--but i DO NOT WORSHIP THE BIBLE. i find a lot of people forget that GOD is the one who is Infallible--not the Bible. i worship the God the Bible teaches about. I study HIM--i learn about Him--I want to know Him--I want to please HIM. reading and studying the Bible is a part of all that--but the Bible is so little compared to GOD and Gods truth. i do think it is good to memorise certain scriptures because they come in handy at certain crossroads of our lives--as a guide in the right direction--but i do not worship every little comma and period--after all it was penned by men--and men are NOT GOD. men are fallible. it bothers a lot of my Christian friends that i do not believe that the bible is without error--the Bible itself says to learn to divide what is wrong from what is truth--right in that scripture you quoted first.
i question everything
I believe nothing until God proves it to me--beyond a shadow of a doubt--and then i can share it with others with confidence.
that which is unshakable for me is MY personal experiences with GOD--the presence of a very REAL JESUS CHRIST is undeniable for me.--I cling on to HIM--not the Bible. I worship God that the Bible is written about---what do u say to that?

they did a study and found that about 80 percent of people just go to church for extrensic reasons and have no inner desire or consern for God's will. this is unfortunate.

it's interesting what people say when you ask, why do you believe what you do.

God should be the centre of your life not just a hobby.
