As for my knowledge wine shops are kept open on this event for 24hours for easy access to people who celeberate that way,

new movies are released to celeberate this event (Christmas Release),

special sweets are prepared to celeberate.

even there are new arrivals or girls are introduced in the Prostitution oriented restaurants,

special packages of offers given to the young couples to enjoy in the restaurants and bars to celeberate this event.

There's a big iranian population here in cali,and there's this iranian girl at my gym who carries a regular workout towel with her,but when she is in certain places like a certain excersize station,she will drape the towel over her head.I'm wondering(for anyone who is muslim or anyone who knows)if this has some symbolic meaning behind it and if it is a certain custom that muslim women perform in public.

I'm sure most everyone is quite aware of Michael Richards' (Kramer from "Seinfeld") racist rant from a few weeks ago.

What bothers me almost as much as the rant itself is the realization that if his rant were aimed at any other ethnic group using any other ethnic slurs, it wouldn't even make the back page news, nevermind front page news.

So, my question about the double standard is this... why is it not ok to call a black person a n*****, but it IS ok to call a Korean "****", a Chinese "chink", or a Japanese "nip"? Why is it not ok to call a black person a n*****, but it IS ok to call a Canadian "frostback", an Irish "mick" or an Italian "wop"?

It's a pretty horrible double standard when a black person can call another person a hateful name and it goes unpunished (or even worse, unnoticed), yet when they themselves are called a hateful name, it's cause for public apologies, lawsuits and severe punishments.

Shouldn't all ethnic slurs be treated with the same severity?

Now, tell me this? What is the closes relative that a bird has?

My point being? If the ape is the closes relative, how come they don't construct planes, write books, fly to the moon, drive, talk on cell phones, wipe their butts with charmin toilet paper, grind coffe, have weddings, refine petroleum, or simpler..............create fire..............isn't that the theory? I want to see them create fire on their own,,,,,,,,,,,,,or simply eat with a fork neatly..................

I have read that they edited out a whole chapter in the bible.

I also witnessed it. I was encouraged to go to the Assemblies of God church by my then boyfriend I went where they were preaching about the wrongness of gays, pagans, hindus, muslims, etc even catholics, church of england etc. So even against other christians.

I found the passage in the bible. And now Im can't remember the numbers exactly its been quite a few years.

But it was in Romans 14 verse something..//????

He who is of the faith do not judge another man who comes and is not a faith of his own. I pointed this out to a priest/clergyman/pastor.

A whole month later a new and revised edition of the king james bible was in the church and that paragraph was not in it.

I want to know why man thinks he has the right to edit GODS words??? I want to know who thinks he is qualified to do such a thing??? Afterall GOD didn't put it in the bible if he himself didn't believe in it. So why take it out.
