Christmas does not please GOD. Consumerism drives christmas . Santa drives a magical sleigh with 8 magical reindeer.GOD hates magic.
A good deed by a nicholas has turned into 1 everlovin advertisement for greed.
A fat old man gets all the credit.
Jesus lived, died and now lives. We are to celebrate these 2 things everyday of our lives. we are to break bread and drink a taste of wine to celebrate Jesus. Communion is the only way to truly celebrate Jesus with the Consent of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. there is no other way.

Christians celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ otherwise there would be no reason for us to celebrate the season. We honor Christ in Worship and praise. We also give gifts and don't get hung up on the trifles.
For those who celebrate everything from the football games to Halloween, this is why Muslims call America the Great Satan! I don't see one of these people trying to stop Ramadan, Halloween or any other religion except maybe the Jews. It was disgusting act of cowardice the Seattle airport did in taking down the Christmas trees and not allowing a Menorah to be lit alongside it. That's what Judeo-Christian means. America, unlike any other country was meant to be a safe haven for all faiths.

It pleases me, and because I praise the name of Jesus and celebrate my salvation every day and more so on Dec. 25th, God is pleased to. The disadvantage of Christmas is that as it becomes more secularized it looses its meaning and as anything else in the world becomes twisted by evil men and women.
It very well could have started as a pagan holiday, I never knew there were so many Jehovah's Witnesses on the web, I respect that.
Romans in the Bible mentions the eating of food offered to idols, the reflection being that for yourself it does no harm, but that if it harms the faith of another we should not do it. Personally I don't think anyone will fall away from Jesus if i choose to celebrate his birthday on Dec. 25th, please note I said CHOOSE to celebrate I don't think we're even close as far as his actual birthday nor does it really matter. THe point of Christmas for me is this, that I acknowledge and celebrate that my saviour Jesus was born of a virgin Mary, suffered under Pontious Pilate was crucified dead and buried, rose again on the 3rd day for all of our sins.
Evil things happen every day, good things, not so much.

The Lord is not pleased with how people celebrate Christmas like you have described it.
BUT the Lord is pleased when He sees His children celebrating Christmas because we are thankful to God for sending Jesus to us.
It's a heart thing and that's what He judges, praise His wonderful Name.

Christmas is pagan. It may please the celebrant but it does not please God. If God wanted his Son's birthday celebrated, he would have said so.
