The idea of a prophet is Islam is extremely different than the Christian/Jewish one. Give reasons for your answers.

the biblical prophets perform some kind of sign or could foretell the future.

So Christians don't consider Adam, Noah, or Abraham as being prophets. Men of God perhaps, but not prophets.

A prophet would be someone like Isaiah or Jeremiah or Daniel who foretold future events.

I saw somewhere that the Jews at Mecca didn't want to receive Mohammed as "The Prophet" because he couldn't perform signs and he didn't foretell the future. That's why I think the concept is different.

The Koran and the Bible contradict each other.

True.

In the Jewish and Christian Tradition there are certain "Sign" that predict the "Prophet", whereas in the Islamic Tradition there aren't. Like you must've noticed in the fact that, in Islam, even Adam is a "Prophet". It's a very loosely used term in the Koran.

Merry Christmas!!!!

False:

Thanks A2Z,
Al Qura'n:
[3:64] Say, "O followers of the scripture, let us come to a logical agreement between us and you: that we shall not worship except GOD; that we never set up any idols besides Him, nor set up any human beings as lords beside GOD." If they turn away, say, "Bear witness that we are submitters."

[3:65] O followers of the scripture, why do you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Do you not understand?

[3:66] You have argued about things you knew; why do you argue about things you do not know? GOD knows, while you do not know.

[3:67] Abraham was neither Jewish, nor Christian; he was a monotheist submitter. He never was an idol worshiper.

[3:68] The people most worthy of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. GOD is the Lord and Master of the believers.

All Prophets performed miracles and showed deferent signs, but still lots of non beleivers preffered to live in darkness and did not accepted those Prophets of The God.

Besides temperary miracles and signs Last and final Prophet of Almighty God braught a permanent Miracle of Miracles, that is Al Qura'n.
Explore qura'n you will find trumendious signs and informations, those were beyond the knowledge of Human of that time.
Now with the development of science we can confirm some established scientific information with the Qura'n.
Still lot to discover.

I am not sure I understand your point but I will do my best. True and False. The concept of a prophet is the same in Islam and Judaism as far as I know. A prophet is a messenger from God; he is noble and dignified, yet he is a human being still.

The concet is different in most sects of Christianity that see one certain prophet, Jesus, as the son of God. Most Chrisitians, if not all, do not acknowledge Prophet Muhammad as a prophet, yet I think they perceive the other prophets (other than Jesus and Muhammad) just the way we do; messengers from Allah, human beings.

Allah knows best

Peace

Invitation to All Believers

[3:69] Some followers of the scripture wish to lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray, without perceiving.

[3:70] O followers of the scripture, why do you reject these revelations of GOD though you bear witness (that this is the truth)?

[3:71] O followers of the scripture, why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth, knowingly?

[3:72] Some followers of the scripture say, "Believe in what was sent down to the believers in the morning, and reject it in the evening; maybe someday they will revert.

[3:73] "And do not believe except as those who follow your religion." Say, "The true guidance is GOD's guidance." If they claim that they have the same guidance, or argue with you about your Lord, say, "All grace is in GOD's hand; He bestows it upon whomever He wills." GOD is Bounteous, Omniscient.

[3:74] He specifies His mercy for whomever He wills; GOD possesses unlimited grace.

Be Honest With All People

[3:75] Some followers of the scripture can be trusted with a whole lot, and they will give it back to you. Others among them cannot be trusted with a single dinar; they will not repay you unless you keep after them. That is because they say, "We do not have to be honest when dealing with the gentiles!" Thus, they attribute lies to GOD, knowingly.

[3:76] Indeed, those who fulfill their obligations and lead a righteous life, GOD loves the righteous.

[3:77] As for those who trade away GOD's covenant, and their obligations, for a cheap price, they receive no share in the Hereafter. GOD will not speak to them, nor look at them, on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They have incurred a painful retribution.

Did Jesus or his Apostles follow a religion called Christianity? Who were the first 'Christians' ? Who founded Christianity and do the teachings of Christianity conform to the teachings of Jesus?

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.

Somewhat different. Islam recognizes a number of prophets as prophets, but puts no particular signficance on any except Muhammad. The biblical prophets play a more significant role in the action.

True and False
A prophet like Moses is a prophet to all three religions
Jesus is a Prophet to christians and islam their name for him is ISA
You have to know the Torah, Bible, Koran reguardless of what anyone says or tells you from now on are pretty much the same book. You want proof read them together. That is my challage to you read all three and never stop reading. Then go to every church of every faith you can find. Till you can say you have done this like I have no one can say anything to me.
Its like getting people to agree on a pizza topping. Its still a pizza and then you have people that just don't like the pizza.
I'm done now...

True,

According to the Holy Bible the first prophet is Mosses. Neither Adam, Hanok, Noah, Abraham, Issac, Jacob nor Joseph were titled as prophets in the Bible, but they were titled as righteous man, man of God, those walked with God etc.

the criteria of a prophet of God is If he prophecy anything in the name of God it should come to pass.
Deuteronomy 18 : 22
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

prophet in Islam is God messenger, which has two type, the one who preach to his own family and the one who preach to all community which is called Rasool.

Only 25 rasool is known to us, stated in The Qur'an, from Adam to Noah, Job, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad the last messenger( peace to all of them).

Daniel and Khaidir is possibly a prophet(nabi).

But the true number of them is more than that. I hav heard the number of rasool is 600+ and nabi, 123,000.
But only God know best.
