"If only we could have been there, Lord, on the hillside,
We should have heard the sheep baaing, the dogs barking,
and the silence of the night,
And then ... stars, full of your glory,
and the sounds of peace and good-will
"Glory to God in the Highest."

I think Yes. ........What would you think of parents who forced their children to accept their politics, or their taste in architecture?........ Have you ever heard anyone speak of a "Leninist child" or a "Postmodernist child"? .....................Of course not. So why, then, do we all go along with "Christian child" and "Muslim child"?
I think Such labelling of children with their Selfish parents' religion is child abuse.

I think parents should be confident in the raising of their child and believe that their child is smart enough to make the right choices

In the translation I have it's stated, :" Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away."

Apparently, Jesus is talking about the signs of the end of the days, warnings of things to be expected in other words. Some would say that all of these things have already happened. But, do you think it was possible what Jesus was stating in the rest of the scriptures printed on chapter 24 were things that were going to continue for a day that is unknown to humankind, but were only signs of the end of all wickedness in the earth? Other scriptures point to that, but I am a little unsure what to collect in my thoughts regarding these scriptures supposing of course that all of this would actually happen.

Should I take literal Matthew 24:35? And if so, can you give me scriptual evidence proving your point? It would be appreciated.

I have heard, it is none of my business what other people do. Everyone should be free to do what they want. If they want an abortion fine. The court already settled that it is legal to have abortion because we should be able to do what we want to ourselves. Why can't we legally have someone kill us? Why can't we do drugs? Why can't I go kill someone else? Because it hurts someone else? How does a man draw the line? If a baby doesn't have a soul, then when does someone have a soul. They dont? Who cares then? What are morals? Do we have them? What qualifies something to be morally right or morally wrong? Well, It could be none of my business what Osama Bin Laden did in New York. Can I abort my child when he is 5? I decided I dont want him anymore. Some say the world would be better if some people were aborted. What if Abraham Lincoln was aborted? What if Mother Theresa was aborted? What if Jesus was aborted? What if you were aborted? What if..the list goes on. Who knows what will become?

Last night while sleeping, I was awaken by a persistent whispering of the name "Robert" or something similar being whispered loudly into my ear, even though I was alone in the room and I had earplugs in. What kind of psychic or afterlife messages could this mean? Serious answers only please!

I was recently involved in a conversation that led to the following question: "Well, if there is no God, then explain the will to live. Why is there life instead of non-life? Why is there a will to live, and how did it originate?"

I'm an atheist, and explained that atheism isn't a claim at a certain working of the universe, but is simply the lack of belief in gods. However, I'm left lacking a way to explain the origin of the will to live. I can explain evolution quite well, but it all revolves around improvements that meant the progression of the species. Why is there progression at all?
