I am a Wiccan, and there is no such thing as a good witch or a bad witch. Witch is a state of mind a term used when performing magik (not magic defferent word meaning), and other rituals. With anything in life you have good people, and bad people what they choose to do with their lives is there perogative. However in Wicca there are consequences to your actions if you harm people. It is called Karma, and witches like me believe in Karma. Life will catch up to you, but magik is neither good or bad. As in nature can neither be good or bad just the person, and what decisions they make. In Wicca we believe do what you will as long as it harms none, and what ever a witch sends out wether good or bad comes back upon the witch 3 fold. I feel bad for your friend, and if your curious on how to help this person I have been a Solitary Witch Practitioner for 20 years now, and can advise you on what to do. E-mail me anytime as long as your serious I will devote my time towards the cause.

"Good" and "Bad" is all a cyclical term.

First off; the term WARLOCK
Don't believe a "Warlock" is inherently evil or a "Witch" wears a pointy hat.
In Scandinavian it is a term for a "Caller of Spirits".
In the original TIMEFRAME of the Old English; all conquered subjects were made to swear an oath never to rise up in rebellion against their new liege lords. When any such "Freedom Fighters" rose up to challenge the brutal Anglo-Saxons or Normans... they were branded as "Oath-Breakers" by the conquering armies.

Secondly; Good -vs- Bad Witches
The Italian Stregha had both 'good and 'bad' witches, both dedicated to Aradia ; Queen of the Witches.
Benedotti- Good Witch
Maledotti- Bad Witch
This is the first instance of the use of the term "Bad Witch" I can find and it does not mean what you think it does. Both did as much as possible to keep the early Catholic church from annihilating them. The Good witches thought by helping everyone they would be able to "out-show" the local priests. The Bad witches thought they could "out-power" the prayers of the local priests. Neither ever did anything harmful as Aradia

Anyone who practices witchcraft is practicing sorcery. Basically, whether they mean to do good, they are really looking for good from evil. The best thing you can do for that girl is tell her that she can be protected by Jesus and give her a bible. Tell her that God loves her and He can restore everything that was stolen from her.
