My brother was mentally challenged---he died last year on this date. He died of an illness, infection, whatever that even the doctors can't explain. i'm trying real hard to maintain my religious beliefs but it's getting really hard--why would God take someone who was totally innocent--who just lived their life in happiness because they could. He worked every day, made friends with everyone he met, enjoyed the simple things in life. Then there are total buttheads who are nasty and wicked and live forever--why??

Or is it because there is no temple? I know the Bible says, in Zechariah I think, that there will be sacrifices again.

Please tell me how you know. A Scripture reference is most appreciated.

It seems majority of the people feel happy and joy on Christmas but Is Jesus the centre of your celebration?
is it only gifts and holyday, meeting friends and good feast?
did someone realise that Satan has deviated christians to do so and he enjoys watching you go astray?

Have you ever been to the south? There all christians down there and look how backwards is down there. And they have a saying down there that goes nothin spells lovin like marryin your cousin. Talk about backwards. And its no suprise either there all chipped tooth losers living in trailer parks with no lives. You wanna look at a perfect example of how an all christian area is like? Look at the south.

Lately my webpage on perpetual motion machines has shown up 24th on a main google search for that topic. It caught me somewhat by surprise even though I have been silently wishing and hoping that my ideas would get more attention.

So the question is: What would you do if you were in a similar situation and it escalated to significant notoriety? Would you defend your sanity? Try to live up to the image? This is a totally frivolous question. I'm just looking for some good-humored advice.

Or you could address the topic of what you would do if you became famous unexpectedly as a result of your renewed passion for something you used to do as a kid.

What are the upsides of your newfound fame? The downsides?

I work for a fortune 500 company and even though I celebrate Christmas, I'm fairly sure that not everyone on my floor does. We have a Christmas tree (giving tree - for donating gifts to needy family) and a couple of "Merry Christmas" banners. I don't have a problem with the tree but I think the banners are a little over the top. I work with a lot of smart people but I'm mystified that some of these smart people apparently don't understand why these displays are not appropriate at work. Why don't we start our business meetings out with a prayer?? When these people push their beliefs of others.... people naturally will want to push back. The so called attack is defensive and not offensive as the bible thumpers would have you believe. Your thoughts?

Which is confusing, is it or is it not defined in the Bible? Reading posts, I've seen it defined as being in "the grave" and having no consciousness or fire and brimstone with eternal torment. Also read that there is no "hell" - one might get stuck in purgatory, but can't go to hell from there. A specific definition would be helpful.

I thoght you said only people who accept Jesus as their Savior can go to "heaven". So why the double standard with the Jews? ( I'm just talking about the ones who don't believe in Jesus) I have heard plenty of times where Pastors of Christian Churches have said that they will be in "heaven" with the Christians. But how can this be when they have rejected "God's" son, some don't even believe Jesus ever historically existed, & the even sometimes spit when they hear the name "Jesus" . So how may I ask, can they get into "heaven"? Yes they believe in "God" But so do Muslims. So does this mean you can get into "heaven" if you just believe in "God" or does that only apply if your a Jew ????

This is something that has bothered me for some time now, and I just disregarded it as a part of human nature to be cruel and unforgiving. But in the hallways, I hear them all the time. "That's gay, you're gay, you're a queer" as if it were insulting. Also, why are people so insecure about their sexualities? I'm not Gay, I'm just wondering why people do this, because it seems unfair to those who really are gay, and get picked on because of their sexuality. I find it discriminatory and wrong...so why do it in the first place? Are teenagers just so completely stupid that they disregard other's feelings in a heartbeat? This just frustrates me to no end, and I'm hoping someone could provide an answer.

why is it that so many people on this site are sooooo interested in the personal lives of celebrites that may or may not be gay based on a rumor that they heard from like one person, not only is it annoying that ther are all these questions about people that are obviously not gay(i.e. paris hilton, hugh jackman, orlando bloom) but even if they wee, how would this affect you at all? why does it matter?
