Wow, so you're bashing us instead? We just choose not to believe in gibberish written eons ago that was probably translated wrong in the first place. I am very well versed in the bible, I understand it, and I think it's crap. End of story.

If there is a God, it is reasonably certain that he made the world, but it is by no means certain that he is the author of the Bible.
Why then should we not place greater confidence in Nature than in a book?
And even if this God made not only the world but the book besides, it does not follow that the book is the best part of creation, and the only part that we will be eternally punished for denying.
It seems to me that it is quite as important to know something of the solar system, something of the physical history of this globe, as it is to know the adventures of Jonah or the diet of Ezekiel.

Only atheists and Asatru? Darn, we pagans get left out again.
I know you would like to believe what you say is true, sadly it is not. I had no trouble with math and had no trouble understanding the Christian bible, it just isn't my cup of tea.
I have a counter question; Why do you have a victim mentality?

Come on Christians, lets be honest.
Life is just too complex and distressing for you to rationally explain without wetting yourself, so you rely on old books and illogical dogma to think for you, just like children who can't accept the flaws of their parents. Just accept that you believe what makes you feel good instead of what makes logical sense and stop insisting that people should think like you do. (So let the scripture quoting that only begs the question instead of proving the point begin)

I took algebra and geometry at the same time as electives so I could get into calculus earlier.
It isn't what I don't understand in the bible that scares me, it is what I do understand.

I've aced algebra, trig, geometry, and I am acing my current calculus class. Those things are easy compared to trying to find the sense in your bible.

I love judgmental Christians. They go against everything they believe in by judging others. At least we "heathens" understand that you guys shouldn't be judging others--that's why you get so much hate mail from us. Those of you who judge us (which, believe it or not, is NOT all of you) are hypocrites.

No, it's a silly book no more true then Harry Potter. But I guess people might one day believe that to and make a religion around it, and those that doubt will see prejudice because they know it's crazy. Heck, it's happening with Scientology as we speak.

I don't hate you, but I recognized the bible as the storybook it is around the age of 10 (the same time I started reading high school level science texts.)
Too bad for you that you didn't (or couldn't.)
