I work for a fortune 500 company and even though I celebrate Christmas, I'm fairly sure that not everyone on my floor does. We have a Christmas tree (giving tree - for donating gifts to needy family) and a couple of "Merry Christmas" banners. I don't have a problem with the tree but I think the banners are a little over the top. I work with a lot of smart people but I'm mystified that some of these smart people apparently don't understand why these displays are not appropriate at work. Why don't we start our business meetings out with a prayer?? When these people push their beliefs of others.... people naturally will want to push back. The so called attack is defensive and not offensive as the bible thumpers would have you believe. Your thoughts?

Big difference between having a right to do something and being appropriate. Is that a difficult concept?

Christians want to shove thier ideas and values down every one elses throats. Think of the Crusades. Either be with them or else. Like Bush said.... If you're not with us you are against us.

We ain't bible thumpers. It is called freedom of speech. You don;t have to like or even park take it in. It is what this country was founded on. The principle is that you can do what ever you want so long as it is not criminal. Allowing other people in their respected religions the freedom to do that also. In the end, fi you don't like it keep ur comments to your self

Why is it all these computer PH Ds from India celebrate Diwalli and go to the Temple and use Henna to make doctrations on their arms.

Isn't that just as silly.
