I used to work crappy job after another just to meet the girls my age. I go to school at night and everyone there is too old for me. Where do 18-20 y.o. girls congregate? I want to join some volunteer organizations, to actually help people and make a difference, and score some good boy points. When I do join a club or organization, how long do I stay before I can exit quietly?

By atheists on the board, that we Christians think Christmas Day is actually Christs birthday, I wanted to give everyone a chance to let us know what they think.

Christmas, however is was founded is merely our "Anniversary" Date for marking the birth of Christ, right?

Are there any Christian here that believe that is the actual day?

My step-daughter is set to have her baby in the next couple of days, so he will only be a couple weeks old on Christmas. Any ideas for Christmas presents? It's hard to find toys for newborns, and she got lots of clothes in her baby showers.

... not all Spanish speakers understand the things Portuguese speakers say?

Recently I answered a question about languages that were similar (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmggtcNaJoWYsBALmN_5w4fsy6IX?qid=20061124045736AAmg71v&show=7#profile-info-5caa6bb98f036217c4647d1397fb2d14aa), and you said that you had seen "hundreds of conversations between Brazilians and other South Americans that started out in Portuguese/Spanish, but switched to English right away because the Spanish speakers could not understand the Portuguese speakers". Driven by curiosity, I asked at the Spanish forum if they think it's true and why it happens (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnW1fcwq2Ak92oDLyIjsc2Psy6IX?qid=20061126054540AAHmvRG).

As you can see, they said it's true, but none of them was able to tell me why. As a linguistics professor, do you have any idea why does it happen?

If anyone else feels like answering, be my guest.

This guy wants to take me to lunch...but he's the type that makes uncomfortable conversation (talks about other co-workers) and invades your personal space (talks really close to your face, hand on shoulder, etc.) Bottom line, I just want nothing to do with him...but can you say no when they ask you to go to lunch? How can you appropriately handle this situation? Advice!

This is the poem I wrote for Christmas this year.
Jesus Lives in me
I do not need the Christmas light. I do not need the hollly bright.
Don't need to wait to buy a gift, or buy a Christmas tree.
Instead of lights upon a tree, I'll let Him shine His light in me.
Do all I can for all I meet. I'll be a candle burning bright,
Pointing to the One True Light, every day and every night,
Jesus lives in me.
Such joy He gives, such love and joy and peace!
Every time He fills my heart, I'll let it overflow.
I want to whole world to know, what Jesus means to me.
He is a candle shining bright. He is the One True Light.
He's everything to me.
It matters not what day He's born He lives within my heart.
Ever and always, every day,
Jesus lives in me.
He is a glowing fire. He is a candle burning bright.
I'll celebrate Him every day.
I'll celebrate along the way.
Jesus lives in me.

I mean I am a Christain and I do not go out to tell gays off. I have a gay brother and lesbian sister. I still love them and support whatever they do. I dont care if the person is gay, lesbian, bi, or even transgenderd. I care about friends and if people cant accept my friends then you arent nothing to me at all.

Hey guys. I'm Christian and I believe in God. I don't understand how God created the world? How was he made? Who put him into power? Who was before him?
