Must there be a god?

I don't think so. I think the universe has always been. Since forever. And we are just here. That's it. It's simple.

No magic tricks. No supreme being. Just random.

I think every prophet that ever lived had their own agenda. Power. Money. Fame. Whatever. There's too many of them to believe.

Maybe reincarnation is true. Who knows? Maybe we've just always been. One life after the other after the other since forever.

That's what I think.

I got a new oral teacher from the US this term. But I find it difficult to communicate with him.

When I asked if I could pay him a visit at weekend, he just said, "I'm sorry, I don't know my schedule for my weekend. So maybe another time."

And I've already asked the same question a couple of times; his answers are almost the same. What's wrong? Why didn't he just refuse me or arrange a time for my visit?

What's the character of a typical American?

Please give me as much advice as you can on how to communicate with an American. Thank you in advance!

After reading some responses to my previous questions, a user gave me an idea about making cookies and candies as Christmas presents to help me cope with my mother and a sister passing away tragically five years ago during this time. Please share with me your homemade recipes or please direct me to a specific URL (or whatever source). Your responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This was years ago, so I'm not even sure if anyone will know what I'm talking about... I received it via email and it was about a guy who dreamed he was in a room that had the index drawers like the ones you find in libraries. Upon closer inspection, he sees that the subjects are directly related to him, i.e, "Girls I have liked". Other cards show the darker subjects, such as "Things I have said in anger to my brother" and "Lustful thoughts I've had". Every last card has his signature, the date, and the time of each occurance.

As his horror and shame builds at the details, he notices that he's no longer alone, and Jesus is with him. Jesus takes the card from him and signs His own name over the narrators. He tries to take the cards away from Jesus, saying that His name shouldn't be on them, but Jesus continues to sign with a red pen, in His blood.

It's really deep, and I'd love to read it again and share it with others, so if you have it, please send it to me.

He is a famous football player I have been lead by the spirit to really pray for this man how do I know if it is the spirit versus my imagination? And it may sound nutty but I really believe Jesus has revealed this man to me as my husband? How do I know it's real and not the devil or wishful thinking.

I am an Agnostic who has been studying many different religions over the last few years. I have found the principles of Buddhism to truly symbolize what I would like to strive to become. Please do not mention other religions; I find the principles of the other major religions to be immoral at best.

The only major religion I havn't touched yet is Hinduism, except for the knowledge I got about some Hindu concepts from studying Buddhism. My question is how does Buddhism differ from Hinduism?

Is life fair? It's a simple, almost childish question, but I think the way we answer it says something very profound about how we see the world. Some people say that life is obviously unfair because we are all born into a different lot in life, some more fortunate than others, and we are subjected to many forces outside of our control. But there's another train of thought that looks at the big picture, beyond your own life, and thinks that fortune and misfortune, survival and death all balance out, which enables life and nature to sustain itself. There are different ways to think about it. What do you think? From where you sit, is life fair?

Mary Claus is acceptable for Claus was not the first of the Santa's "names" anyway. It is Jessica Mary Kringle. Can anyone prove me wrong with literature rather than a opinion of "word of mouth?"

Robot Chicken (love the show) got it wrong with Martha. That is Americanized BS. I see why they used it...it doesn't really matter.

against people of color? Why is it so unacceptable to be of color(black, asian, hispanic...)? Is there some sort of superiority complex associated with this? I think so. How about you? I would really like to hear from the biggots & don't be afraid to give reasons behind your conclusion if you have ANY.

I have pieced together a few VERY SUBTLE clues that my husband of 4 years, (we've been together almost 7), may be bi or a closet homosexual, or have some same sex fantasies. The thing is, I truly don't believe he is cheating on me, and there is no way I could confront him about my suspicions because he would FREAK OUT. If he does have same sex attractions he is VERY closed about it, and may even be in denial himself. I am looking for any advice, and/or an online forum or support group of women in similar situations. My husband does not display any signs of being effeminate...in fact he is the complete opposite. What are signs that a man may be gay when he would be a very "non-traditional" gay? What are subtle, less obvious clues that I should pay attention to? He seems sexually pleased with me so I'm very confused...
