Some people cannot accept difference, and others are just kids trying to irritate other people. I'd ignore them if I were you.

Well......let's go down the list.....
Asians: Whites love asians! They say they are hard working, good family values, nice people, honest, lowest crime rate. Also considered honorary white.
Hispanic: Some look white, some looked mixed. They are still a little different but still acceptable...
Arab: Well.....atleast they aren't too black some can even be white.....love the oil.....
And finally.....
Blacks: Get a dictionary and find ever negative word you can muster up. BAM! They say we have the lowest of the goods and the hightest of the negatives. Even during 9/11 there was racism going on.
The whites that are racist are soley against blacks and only blacks.
The above is the thinking off a white racist that accepts everyone except blacks. They may not be in the KKK and they may even have an education and live like a regular person.
In general whites accept everyone except blacks.
I am glad I don't have to live around whites that think like that. Most off the ones I know are really cool and open minded.
*Sigh* I made myself depressed again.........

Discrimination was a big problem back in the 50's thru the 70's. Now with the equal oppurtunity act. The tables have turned & the whites are on the minority side of the coin. We have rights & they don't get the same treatment that we get now. If I apply for a job I know I won't get turned down because I can holler discrimination if I so choose. They don't get this priviledge. So yes they don't like us because we get special treatment & they don't. Many of us abuse the system & live off the system which many of them have to contribute to, by taxes. The systems were set up originally to help people that can't help themselves. Now we have people that are on it that shouldn't be. If your able bodied & can work you shouldn't recieve these benefits. They should work like the rest of us instead of laying at home on welfare. Their will always be biggots & racist in this world. If we are good people & prove that we are they do accept us. It's when we have a few bad apples that rob & kill people & cry discrimination when we do something stupid & get caught that gives us a bad name. The law abiding rest of us pay the price because of a few.

I believe it's a lot like the problems in Iraq. People are used to living in a tiny little world and aren't used to being around other cultures and nationalities. Iraqis are primarily Shiite and Sunni there needs to be diversity among them, otherwise they wont get along and want to hate each other for no significant reason, the problem stems from child hood and thier parents issues of similarity. In America people from places like West Virginia where most people are white don't feel a connection with other races because they haven't associated with other people therefore they live in ignorance.

I don't know why people in general are, as you put it, "against people of color." I suppose it is the environment in which they are raised. Narrow-minded, biased parents pass on, to a point, their beliefs to their children. I guess.
If a white person is proud of the color of their skin, then they must not have much else about themselves to be proud about.
Reverse discrimination also occurs, as I have experienced, against white people. Is there something wrong with being white? No.
My Conclusion: The world is full of people who rejoice in stereotypes. Idiots.

I think it's a media perception trick. You're being used.
Don't mind me, since I may not be around very long. There's a certain professor out there who's demanded I be slaughtered because of my skin color.
It seems racism is color blind, and it always resides in individuals with weak characters who must identify with their skin color in order to gain any sense of importance.
I personally don't know any racists. But I hang with a really mixed crowd. The media isn't interested in us, so you don't know we're out here.
The only thing worse than a bigot is someone who race-baits for political gain. They, too, come in all colors....

You are so wrong. Only a few ignorant folks are prejudice. But, they are so vocal about it that it just seems like they represent a larger number of people.
But, we know who they represent, they represent ignorance and inferiority complexes.
I will tell you how to recognize them:
They live in mobile homes with a lot of plastic toys all over their yard. They have lots of pets. Cause they want someone around them to look down on.

I don't think that people are against color as much as they are against culture...Some cultures stress the now instead of the future...new things over savings...keep to themselves rather than assimilate...yearn for their home country while living in ours...partying instead of studying...loud and brash rather than being quiet and respectful...etc..etc...etc...
Color and culture tend to overlap and so alot of people get them mixed up
Superiority? Depends on where your values lie...I might think that saving for future ownership of a home is more important than driving a nice SUV...am I superior to that person? No, but I am allowed to hold an opinion of that person...I am allowed to find fault in their way of thinking...

That is a good question, and the people that have answered so far are not the ones you wanted to hear from (including me). It seems they are ashamed, or don't know the answers themselves....ha ha ;) I don't know the answer, and I've never heard any good excuses.

Tough question! Fear of colleges; Friends, lover, family, others of your color. I have overcome many of these problems through faith but the youth of U,S. are not so lucky - keep the faith, show kindness, trust, and charity.
Forgive all for to hate someone without their knowledge causes only you pain for they do not know of your hate, this gives them undo power over you. but forgive them, forget, get your inner peace.
