How do I tell a male friend I like him, because I'm not even sure he is gay.

Well first tell your friend your gay and if he is still your friend move on to the next step. Then in simple conversation tell him you like him. If he is your real friend he'll still be your friend after you tell him.

You may want to find out if he is gay first because men who are not gay tend to get really offended why other men hit on them.

Get drunk and tell him. If he reacts badly, tell him you were just kidding and it must be the alcohol talking. DO NOT DO ANYTHING SEXUAL WITH A DRUNK FRIEND. Thats a little thing a lawyer will call rape.
