For some reason, guys across the world (myself included) are always up for the idea of building a fort. Whether it be outdoors made of branches or indoors made of sofa cushions, why is it that boys far more than girls find the idea so, so cool?

Where I come from, the catholics schools will not allow non catholics into their territory ...unless of course you have a nice big donation to give.

Please, hold up on the shabby answers, because it's the truth!

I would like to know how you came to this knowledge.
Was it from a church? Which one?
Was it from reading the Bible?
Do you currently observe them?
PLEASE ANSWER ONLY IF YOU DO. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANSWERS THAT SAY THEY ARE NOT FOR CHRISTIANS.
THANK YOU.

Are they trying to track debtors down, so they can threaten them with prison,
and they'll do what they're told? Just like this phoney War on Drugs? Trying to
get something on everybody, so we'll do what we're told?

I go to a Catholic school, so this does not really apply to me, but my mom teaches at a public school. I was wondering what parts of religion should and should not be allowed in school.

I want to wrap some empty boxes with giftwrap to put under the Xmas tree for decor. Would it be possible to shellac them (to preserve them and keep them looking nice) so I can use them in the years to come, as well?

Since he prepared his disciples for impending showdown."when i sent you withou purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything?" And they said "Nothing". "Behold, i send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye, therefore as wise as serpent and as harmless as dove" ......Matthew 10:16

My dads girlfriend is very well off. She operates on a level I cannot begin to afford. She has an executive corporate job and has everything. What kind of gift would be appropriate in a reasonable price range (under $100) ? She likes art, has a dog, she travels and likes to entertain. Any suggestions?

I have known many of these types of people, and they annoy me to hell! But I want to know the word that describes them.
(Sorry if any of the following offends or sounds nasty, that's not the intention!)

Normally ugly.
Can be male but normally female.
Have an over-motherly approach to everything.
Need to give advice on everything even if you don't want it.
Can never admit they are wrong.
Poor self hygiene.
Unpresentable.
Sometimes choose to be from a weirdly outcast minority (Eg. A Whicker... that's the only example I can think of without offending a load of people!)
Can sometimes wear ostentatious clothes and claim they are 'making a stand!'

All suggestions welcome!
(If you realise that you are one of these people please do not reply, if you are offended by the above it's more than likely you need mental attention from a suitably qualified doctor. And finally, if you are a Whicker... GROW UP!!)

I have an aunt in her 70s and she has ovarian cancer. While she is doing quite well considering, her cancer is terminal and she probably has another 2-3 years (she was diagnosed 2 years ago). She is still in good spirits and is tolerating chemo quite well. My dilemma is that i don't know what to get her for Christmas. A lot of stuff seems like its totally irrelevant considering what she is dealing with. Besides, she is the kind of woman that if she wants something, she would make sure she gets it, so she doesn't really need anything. She is still active in her community, sings in a chorale, is very concerned about her appearance (but has more clothes than she knows what to do with). Any suggestions are much appreciated. More appropriate gift questions will follow. Thanks!
