Another appropriate gift question?

My dads girlfriend is very well off. She operates on a level I cannot begin to afford. She has an executive corporate job and has everything. What kind of gift would be appropriate in a reasonable price range (under $100) ? She likes art, has a dog, she travels and likes to entertain. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you could offer to take her dog to the groomer, and while you have some time alone with him or her, have the pet's picture made in a Santa hat or other cute attire. Find a nice frame that will go well with her home or office. This will show that you actually put thought into the gift as well. I'm not sure where you live, but Wal-Mart has a photo package for under $10 that comes with some 8x10s and a 14xsomething as well as wallets, etc. Petsmart does grooming for under $30, and a nice picture frame will definitely be under $50.

If there's a college in the area, the art department is probably having a sale about this time of year with everything from jewelry to paintings to sculpture, all fairly reasonably priced. It's a great chance to get a discount on some really unique artwork. I especially like the jewelry I've seen. Most of it's large pieces that can be either worn or placed in a display, so there's an option to use it either as jewelry or simply as art.

Get her a cookbook and a wine glass set, so that she can use them for entertaining. Should be relatively inexpensive.
