why do alot of people hate gays....specially the church, I mean, its not like they want to have sex with you...so, why wouldyou hate them? I have lesbian bi and gay friends......and theyre so normal....I just know one that gets on my nerves....acts like a girl and kind of dresses like one but anyway...why all the hate

i have adopted a solider and i sent a letter i think like a week ago and i went through adoptaplatoon and they say they will not recive it for like two weeks orso and the soldiers may not be able to write back which is ok but i just want to know how long i should wait until i write anther one i do not want her to think that i stopped writing her or anything should i wait to write one ever two weeks or weekly or monthly?

Iv been seeing my boyfriend for about a year and 1/4, and I want to know if anyone has ideas for xmas presents? He just says he only wants me and my love but I feel bad if he gets me things and I dont. All the websites say Ipods and movie sets, but Im real short on cash... Dont say picture collage, I was thinking about writing or drawing him something... or maybe a necklace or chain. He likes movies, music, and hes a big sentimental romantic.

My mother is a Christian, and I want to become one.
I am reading the bible, praying, and thanking Jesus and the lord every day.
I've asked my mom so many times if we can go to crurch, but she says no,"We can't because they'll ask where my husband is...It's not right for usto go without him"
I want her to understand that I want to go to cruch, dad or no dad-but I have the worst time standing up to her...I need some help-please?

I thought Christians were supposed to love all, and to spread the word of their god, not spread hatred.

So, Jesus is considered to be a god or son of god because he was born from a human mother with the intervention of God. Ok then what is Adam considered to be since he was created without a human mother or father? Isnt he supposed to be son of god? And as a result, arent we all supposed to be gods, since we are Adam's descendants?

My girlfriend brings a diary to work. She trusts people not to read it. LOL. Per company security policy, the only bags allowed at work must be clear so that the contents can be seen. She told me some things she wrote in there, such as how much she hates so and so from management. Everyone knows she is writing in a diary. Every one can see the diary in the bag. She leaves said bag unattended. She does not believe me that this is not a good idea. I must also add that co-workers (we work at the same place) have asked me if I had read it, and admitted they were curious as to the mysteries said diary holds. Holler at your boy, and tell me I ain't crazy.

I mean they were both born from a deity right?

Zeus came down in a "golden shower" to Alcmene, and God came down to Mary though the "holy ghost." and both were virgins.

I mean common what makes one Mythology and the other fact?

I mean if you knew nothing of Christianity and I came up saying that this divine power came down and impreagnated a woman that that child is the savior that you must worship otherwise you will suffer when you die you would think I am nuts. The only reason you buy any of this is because you grew up listing to it. Its just silly.

I don't know how long it will take but our God will be created soon.Every planet or system in the universe has its own time frame so that i believe anyone of them who has intelligent life has or will have its own God and one day all of them will unite somehow to create a greater god and it will go on like this.There won't be any travels between stars as we already communicate with light speed.All we have to do is protect our planet and our system from naturel disasters which can happen anytime.The God we are creating is an electronic God and we are living with it and in it and putting every kind of knowledge we have found upto now to this God of ours to make it perfect.
There are some kind of people who can see the future like Nostradamus or lets say the prophets but there is no religion.
I wonder if there is anybody in this world who has similar thoughts.I don't want to hear any religious answers or invitations to religions,just looking for scientific and real answers.

Ok, picture this, if you will.

You are picking up a few things at your local grocery store. It is between the dates of Dec 1st and Dec 25th. The cashier is polite, helpful, and cheery. When the transaction is over, you give her a heartfelt "Merry Christmas!" to which she replies "And a very happy Mithras-mas to you, too!"

What would your reaction be? Would you be angry? Amused? What would you say?

I'm thinking of conducting a little social experament at work and want to know what you all think. :)

(Mithras is, for those who don't know, a Pagan god who's birthday was once celebrated on Dec 25th. It's because of this that we now celebrate Christmas on this date. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithras )
