Most people want simplicity therefore, by putting you or groups into a box, then they have an easy out to generalize and live with those assumptions. Blame psychiatrists, blame marketers, blame businesses, Madison Ave, etc. Because they spent billions of dollars researching and manipulating so that this problem was born.
Let's face it most people are lazy therefore they want the easy way (microwave, McDonald's way) and they don't want to take the time out to know you, and maybe you may be guilty of the same, cuz sometimes I know I am guilty of it and I have to check myself when I do do it.

It's not saying that they are all the same. It's identifying a "type" or a similarity. Like, you cannot call everyone a black person because we all aren't black. You only call black people black.
You cannot call everyone a Christian, because they are not. You cannot call everyone skinny, or everyone smart, or everyone healthy, or everyone beautiful. That's just the way it is!!
If we said everyone was equal and the same, blah blah blah, then that would be FAR worse than putting people into "groups"! And then saying that everyone is completely and 100% different, different enough to NOT put into groups, is totally lying! It's like, "oh your skin is darker than mine, soo, you are in the not-as-dark-as-me spot, but you share it with only yourself." I mean, it doesn't make sense!
If you're going to dress like a skank then you'll be called a skank, otherwise, those who WANT to be skanks won't have a way to identify themselves to their "customers". Like, if you dress like a clown expect to be called a clown. That's the way it is! How else can we identify each other? We can't read each other's minds, we can't see each other's intentions or feelings, so, why expect others to not segregate us into a "group" that they can identify?

I hate it because we are all made of skin, bones, and blood. We all get the same diseases, put our pants on the same way, eat the same way, I mean, the only difference is our skin and hair.
Scripture even tells us He has made of one blood all nations.
