Please only input that is based on the Bible. I know divorce is allowed and the person is free to remarry in the case of adultery. What if I meet a Christian girl, "Sue", that has been divorced for some other reason but no adultery was committed during the marriage, but since then, her ex has remarried or simply had sex with someone after the divorce to Sue was final. Since he has now had sexual relations with another, is Sue marriageable or forever offlimits to the Christian who does not want to be an adulterer.

I've always wondered what the benefit of religion is (particularly Christianity) so I'm asking this question towards Christians, but really it's a question that could be applied to all religions. How is Christianity good? Does the Bible teach us morals? What about the parts where it says it's acceptable to sell your child into slavery, or your daughters into sexual slavery? If you can say that's not good, then you have your own ideals of morals without even needing to open the book. Does it teach you to be a good person? Not really, since most of the Old Testament and parts of the New Testament talk about different conditions in which it is okay to kill people. Is the Bible a holy book, proof that God exists? If that's the case, why does it have more information on when to sacrifice animals than anything that is really important, like mathematics or ways to combat cancer? Why does the book have nothing in it that couldn't be written by just some normal person?

Here I am an adult. Every Thanksgiving I serve cranberry sauce and no-one eats it or even likes it....even me. But I do because it's "tradition". This isn't ment as anything bad at all. Just curious as to what you do just for the sake of "tradition". Giblet dressing? Anything?

-Surely you KNOW that animal species sometimes produce mutations?
-And common sense tells us that surely mutations (and even better genes) that are better suited to the environment will survive better? So then reproduce more? So eventually more of the mutated animal will exist than the unmutated animal? (I know this is a simplified version... but you understand this right??)
-And how, if not natural selection and 'survival of the fittest' do you explain the way that bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics? And that once it has, the bacteria spreads and survives better than the previous, unresistant bacteria? Which is why doctors don't prescribe antibiotics too much.
-And what about the peppered moth? Read more about it here (http://www.millerandlevine.com/km/evol/Moths/moths.html) if you haven't learnt about it in Biology.

What's the bottom line on this? What if someone has faith in Jesus, but thinks the Bible is simply somewhat inspired, not inerrant? Do they have to turn in their license to witness?

I say that ham, mashed potatos, cranberry jello, and greenbeans for thanksgiving just isnt right. They say its more than enough. I happen to be bringing dumplings, broccolli casserole, greenbeans, stuffing, pies, deviled eggs, and rump roast. I say they should wait another half hour until we arrive they want to eat already what to do and who is right.
