The Ottoman Turks killed 3 million Christians between the years of 1914-1923. The Turks to this day have not accepted the Genocide of Assyrians, Armenians, and Greeks. They also have turned ancient churches into mosques, and even turned an Assyrian church into a **** cinema. Although most Turks are friendly people, many are prejudice towards Christians.

I am not Indian, but I used to live in Turkey. It is one of the more moderate of Muslim countries. I was about ten when I lived their so my memory is a bit spotty. But I definitely remember police officers carrying allot bigger guns then they do here in the US. There water wasn't exactly clean so we had to put a few drops of bleach in every gallon of water we drank, and we had to soak all uncooked fruits and veggies in bleach water as well or we would end up having to go to the hospital.
I also remember that they had a bad poor population, we had to watch our trash cans like a hawk or they would end up getting dumped on the ground so some poor person could collect any cans, or anything else of some value. We almost never had hot water for baths and often had to heat it on the stove, that is when propane was available, when it wasn't we either took cold showers or we stunk. The Turks were generally nice. I know they meant well and at first it was cute but EVERY CHILD that passed by my family on the street would say hello in English to us, it was great until you go to a big city and hear it a seemingly million times a day, eventually it got on your nerves. Kind of like a stuck record player that can't be turned off.
This was a few decades ago, it might have changed by now.

I'm native American. I visited Turkey, and I liked Marmaris a lot. I would really like to go back because the people are very nice and hospitable, the restaurant (my favorite being Jan de Vit) serving the best steaks I have had in any time in my life, and the city is lively provided the rain doesn't bum everyone out.
