What's the bottom line on this? What if someone has faith in Jesus, but thinks the Bible is simply somewhat inspired, not inerrant? Do they have to turn in their license to witness?

Faith in Jesus without bible is a good idea, but then what do you believe?

Being good, turn the other cheek, etc?
What about gay people, athiests, single mothers, black people, etc, without the bible and the church how will you grow a healthy hate for these people?

Obviously you must accept part of the Bible or you couldn't have faith in the right Jesus. In that Bible Jesus said "beware of false Christs", so who is this Jesus you have faith in?

and if you have faith in the Jesus of the Bible, how do you pick and choose which parts you believe?

the Virgin birth? Jesus Resurrection from the dead? Jesus is God in the flesh? if you don't believe these things you are following a false Christ.

are you rejecting part of the Bible because it doesn't line up with your lifestyle?" there is a way that seems right to a man and the end of this is death" or do you reject that also?

Since the Old Testament gives prophetic witness of the Messiah and the New Testament is the revelation of the Messiah who is Jesus the Lord, how can you then say that you believe in Jesus but not the revealed word of God concerning His Son?

You are misinformed.... you do not need o have read even one word from The Bible to become of The True Christian Faith... while I had read some of it over the years, I did not even own a Bible on The day of my Salvation. It was just God and me... one-on-one and personal.

All who come to God in The Way He proscribes will receive His free gift of Salvation.... Those then are of The True Chrisian Faith... it is then that true study of The Word of God can begin.

I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith. 1 honest question receives 1 honest answer to the best of my ability

The Bible did not exist even as Jesus became round. you do not make any experience! maximum Christians keep in mind that the Bible isn't a unmarried seamless record, yet truly an assembly of thousands of resources. a number of those are better questionable than others, although the smart observer immediately concludes that the Bible has countless complications. So, no, we do not assume of the Bible as surely honest, and no, we do not regard it as absolute actuality. Christians are persons who've chosen to regulate to the course illumined by ability of Jesus. because of this they are referred to as Christians. Your thoughts about this do no longer truly have any effect on the definition. you would possibly want to do not forget the smart human beings as now no longer thoroughly Christians. i do no longer assume you qualify as Christian because of the actuality you so actually do not save on with the teachings of Jesus. the teachings of Jesus in various of circumstances are literally not surely what Jesus is meant to have pronounced, although the life he lived -- the way he interacted with adult men and women. your self-righteous placed up evidently shows that you does no longer get excitement from the authentic teachings of Jesus in the adventure that they hit you in the face. i'm sorry if I sound a touch offended, yet i'm so very ill of listening to the nonsense out of your variety, who do no longer truly favor to recognize what the Bible truly calls us to do, and also you bypass and locate fault with others. Straighten out your own life and really learn what Jesus ' life on earth ability previously than you presume to criticize others.

Without the Scriptures we have no authority to claim eternal life, or know anything about Christ...

John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

You need to get a new love for God's word it's all we have to show us the way to God... Jim

Faith alone accomplishes nothing.

That's being a RANDOMIST, which most religions are opposed to. What happens happens.
