I know that kind of attitude annoys gays and lesbians, when people assume that they can't have long term relationships. So why turn around and apply that attitude to bisexuals?

It would seem that it is someone that has no respect for the system and plans on using it. There needs to be better rules out there to stop people from abusing the right to sitting on their butt and getting paid.

My gf and I are like the odd couple but we love each other and have for years. Her parents don't know. We are at their house for the holiday. They think I am from Mars. I am sort of dark and witchy. They are evangelical Christians. My gf wants to tell them while we are all here together. I want to run for the border. What should we do? She is so trusting and will walk right into this with Ma and Pa Kettle downstairs. Help! :)

It's too bad that someone has to be home alone without spending it with friends or family. I'm at home too.

By the name of the celebration, I assumed that it was to celebrate Jesus Christ and his birthday. Why then, am I hearing people say it came from the pagans? I don't mean to offend or anything. I'm just really confused. If it did derive from the pagans, then does that make it a non-Christian celebration? Is that why mostly everyone celebrates it and not just the Christians?

A survey (yet another one!) has reported that people today spend their lives devoted to their office and are likely to curtail their social lives all in the name of working extra hours.

One in five also say that their careers means that they are putting a relationship on the backburner.

Many people are working until eight in the evening, so they are working at least 11 hours a day, every day.

Have we become a nation of workaholics and surely the social implications are harmful to our society.

Why do people get sex change operations?

Is it really because there are "men trapped in women's bodies" and "women trapped in mens bodies" (that's what the Nazis said when they invented the sex change operation at Auchwitz during World War II)?

Or is it because there are deeply disturbed people who don't fit society's narrow gender stereotypes, and want to have their bodies transformed into the other gender, so they can fit in?

Is getting a sex change operation an extreme form of internalized homophobia?

From what I read somewhere else on this site. Us and apes are the only two animals to suffer an enzyme deficiency meaning we cant create vitamin C. Is that true?
Do you take this to be proof of evolution (common ancestor) or is it some huge coincidence that its just us and apes?

Okay, so I need some examples of projects or individual things teenagers have done that aids the third world. This is for a debate where I am opposing (against) the motion "The Bebo generation cares little for the developing world". I don't need anything about Bebo as a site, as the motion is referring to teenagers. All help appreciated!

The theory of evolution wants me as an intelligent man to believe my roots started as an ape. So why is it that I can still see apes today when I go visit the zoo? Isn't the idea behind evolution that one things changes into another? If so, then maybe there shouldn't be any apes or monkeys today, because they are all shaving and wearing clothes?
