I say that ham, mashed potatos, cranberry jello, and greenbeans for thanksgiving just isnt right. They say its more than enough. I happen to be bringing dumplings, broccolli casserole, greenbeans, stuffing, pies, deviled eggs, and rump roast. I say they should wait another half hour until we arrive they want to eat already what to do and who is right.

I say the more variety the better. All that food you mentioned sounds really good but it just isn't Thanksgiving without turkey. As for when to eat it, that's simple. Everyone should eat whenever they want. It doesn't sound like you will exactly run out of food anytime soon.

YOU'RE RIGHT!!! There's never enough veriaty at a Thanks Giving dinner. The pilgrims and Indians had three different meats and some people dont like turkey all that much. And they should ask themsevles, how would they feel if it was your dinner and they were bringing some extra food, but you said "No, we dont want any of your food. We're just going to sit down and eat. We're not waiting!"
As long as you're not drastically late sitting down to say the prayers(if you pray) and eating is one of the worst kind of rudeness someone can do; Thanks Giving isnt supposed to be any old dinner, its suppose to be a dinner with family and friends spending time together and giving thanks to our forefathers for bringing a taste of every land to America.(Although not all means were exactly...humane.)
Thats very rude, mean, inconsiderate and STUPID. That, right there, defeats the purpose of Thanks Giving.

I think you should leave the rump roast at home for your own family tomorrow.. bring the sides and if they are too hungry and can't wait well heck with them, eat when you get there. They probably want to watch the football games anyways.

If you are going to someone's house for dinner and are asked or offer to bring something.......that means one dish. Not the whole meal as it is an insult to the family and cook.
Also, unless it is announced that it is buffett and come as you can, I think everyone should wait til everyone invited for dinner is there.
Hope you have a nice dinner and please...........no fighting.
