in islam.. Alcohol is forbidden..
since im a med student n we just started goin to Hospitals etc..wr r doin rotation in "MEDICINE wards" rite now.. n i saw a patient with "alcoholic liver syndrome"... n i was totally convinced WHY Allah has frobidden Alcohol... like we all know the social evils due to alcohol .... but i for the first time saw a person dyin bcuz of it.. (since i live in a muslim country .. i never saw any person dyin of Alcohol related diseases before )...
the patient was having HEMATEMESIS ( that is BLOOD IN VOMIITTING)... n he vomitted TWO buckets of blood infront of us... ..
this incident just made me realize that wutever God/Allah says is for our own betterment...n i hope n pray that ppl realize wut a great evil Alcohol is. Ameen

Why is it that when we have no meney for lunch at work, we feel as if though we are starving to a point where you would beg, borrow & steal to overcome the feeling. But when we are loaded with cash at work, thats when we couldn't be bothered with food.

All we know that the Catholic religion has been spread over the world and it is proclaimed as the Universal Church and many Catholic's are saying that Peter(Simon) is the 1st pope and the one who established the CATHOLIC Church. we know that the things that had been thought by Peter is written in the Bible, if he is really the one who builded the catholic church, why does the teachings of peter in the Bible is Too far from the teachings of the catholic churches here in our present time?

I was in a Carls Jr a few days ago (in a line) and a boy that looked to be around 7 years old made his order, and then handed the cashier a Credit Card! Needless to say, all of us people that where in line where amused! We watched as the boy put in a pin number a few times, but the card kept getting "refused", so the boy left and trotted off down the street.

Ok well my husband and i both work very hard and we have 4 children. anyway we are having some financial problems but were working on it. We went to my inlaws today for Thanksgiving (i diddnt come empty handed mind you) I know that my husbands step mother has been talking to his sister about our delema. well today when we got there his sister did everything possible in her power to try and make me feel inatiquit. from my job right down to my parenting skills. she diddnt come right out and say it but just coments that were made and glares. this really confuses me because they arent very well off and she doesnt work. a year ago they were having worse troubles in fact. after a while, my daughter started acting up so i excused ourselves, appoligised, thanked my mother in law for dinner and we left.(couldnt hold my tounge any longer had to leave) was it rude of me to leave? should i have told my husband how i felt because i did?

Why do african americans get angry when other people say it but are totally fine with it if an african american is saying it?
Is it right to tell people to stop using a word when some african americans use it so liberally? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?
If they want people to stop saying it then they should stop saying it as well because when they say it, it just makes other people think it's ok to use that word

Ok, religious people, please tell me how you know that your faith is the right one. Please don't answer this with "because Jesus loves me' or 'the Bible tells me' or 'It's in the Quarn'. I want you to tell me what it is that makes you BELIEVE in whatever you do. What makes you think that the Bible is true, that there is a God, that Mohammed was a prophet etc.

I'm not trying to bait anyone, or rile anyone, I genuinely want to understand why someone has 'faith' in something when I absolutely do not, and no matter how I try, cannot understand how anyone could.
