yes elephants are atheists, and cats are christians there so smug, unicorns are wiccan obviously ,and snakes are muslim

Elephants have no souls. Nor do they have the intellectual capacity to consider whether or not God exists.
So, no, they're not atheists -- atheists have concluded by themselves that God doesn't exist. Elephants and all other animals don't go through such a process in their heads.
When animals die, they just die -- but when humans die, our souls either go to heaven (after passing through purgatory, if necessary) or hell.
We have the capacity to choose where we go when we die, based upon the beliefs we choose to espouse and the behavior we choose to engage in.
So, unlike elephants and other animals, we can't get off the hook by saying we didn't know. We know better.

`Elephants do indeed meditate on God,If you watch them you can see they are absorbed in the worshipful rememberance of God ,they sway back & forth in ecstasy. Read romans 1-19/20 All things from the beginning of creation have been shown all there is to know of God,even unto the Godhead.

actually they do, I used to go to church with one a few years ago but it used to leave quite a pile on the collection plate.
