I have said replied in questions that I am a 'child of the earth'. This is a way of earth based spirituality but it also means that I am part of the mother, part of the earth first and mostly before race and culture.

Why do people get offended by this?

Yes I converted from Christianity to Paganism (I am using this as a blanket term not as the name of my religion), and I have herd this line more than once, and not just to my question, but also as an answer to other questions: "There is hope for you. You can be saved. Jesus died for your sins." or something to that effect. Why answer a question that is TOTALY not asking about that with kind of a statment? It just kind of eritates the asker and those who are genuinely trying to answer the question.

The Catholic Church will never have females for priests because Jesus showed by His example that the 12 Apostles (the first bishops) should be all male. And because Jesus is God, His wisdom is as far above ours as the heavens are above the earth. It also says in the bible that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

But, why do people single out the Catholic Church for this criticism when Muslims don't have female Muslim Clerics?

“In religion, India is the only millionaire - the One land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for all the shows of all the rest of the globe combined”

Could someone tell me a little about this religion. I've been invited to go to one of their church services, but was wondering if someone could give me some positive feed back (positive being the key word) i.e. what they believe in, what to expect at a sunday service, what the girls can and cannot do or wear ect. ect. the more details the better! we'll be helping me out a lot. thank you in advance!
