Absolutely, NO, God had and has every right to say what goes on in his earth that he made for righteous people,it is not as if he gave no warning of the coming disaster for mankind, Noah kept warning People for years, But the laughed right up to the Time that Jehovah sealed the doors of the Ark,and they took no note untill the flood swept them all away, today again people are being warned of the coming end of this system of things, and just like in the days of Noah people today are laughing and taking no note, and the end of this system of things will come as a thief in the night, and again the warning is being sounded, around all the earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Jehovah has organized a warning to be sounded in all the earth, that warning has been sounded for quite a number of years and is still being sounded all over the world, for people to learn how to save themselves, yet no-one cares to listen so they too like those in the flood will miss out on salvation through heir lack of paying attention,.They rather try to lay the blame on God.It is not God that is wrong it is humanity who are wrong! And humans will curse God just as satan wants them to,untill their last breaths, they will curse God!

good question. yes. even if you assume that ALL the adults that drowned were wicked, that still leaves the children. Thousands, if not millions, of children too young to be wicked or to be responsible for their actions would have drowned as well. This is wrong. You might say that god could see that they would grow up to do wicked things, but then god's decision to kill them en masse would have been a violation of free will. This totally contradicts the common assertions that evil occurs becuase god allows us to have free will. If god will deny the free will of most of the human race (by killing them) because people have done evil, why not deny the free will of evil people in this world and force them to be good?

Additionally, even if you excuse that, there is the inescapable moral problem of the millions or billions of animals that would have drowned. Since animals lack free will they can not be held morally responsible for anything. To deserve punishment, you must be guilty, and to be guilty, you must have free will. God's drowning of the animals could not have been justified. Since the drowning would have caused a lot of fear and suffering among the animal population, and that suffering and fear could not have been deserved by the animals, it would be a clear case of god intentionally causing suffering without justification. And that would clearly be wrong.

The simple answer is, no. If God is to be believed as being actual "God" of the whole of creation and existence, then the rules of "right and wrong" simply do not apply to God. People often try to attach human-like labels and emotional reactions to God, when the truth is, if God is God, then God is the Ultimate Being and above all others, living outside the scope of our tiny understandings of "right and wrong".....the easy answer of course is, if God created us then God has the right to do with us as he pleases...some are uncomfortable with this assumption and therefore choose to believe that God simply doesn't exist or rather believe that if this is truly how God is, then God is evil...while others are quite comfortable submitting all authority to an all-powerful God....it's really all how you take it....my view is that people too often judge "God" based on human ideas and terms instead of actually thinking of God in a larger sense and this is where I feel they err.

They were given ample time to repent, but they didn't listen to Noah's warning message. (Matthew 24:37-42) "37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned; 41 two women will be grinding at the hand mill: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming."

Alan-- that's why you are not God, thank goodness;

Sin is in our being--- no matter what God will do after Adam's fall, sin will be rooted, it's human nature. God was not happy to do what he had done; that's why He promised not to destroy the earth the way He did, at least not by flood next time. *smile* When you can still see the rainbow in the sky, that's His promise that He will not destroy the earth.

But He is God. He can do anything. If we do not respect HIM, do you think God will just sit in heaven and do nothing. Actually He doesn't have to do anything. Our unrepented and unconfessed sins have already judged us.

His ways are not our ways--- People can deny His existence, but He does exist and He is a just God and a Holy God, that sin and Him do not mix. *smile*

Nebtet-- I can't help but love your answer! -- good way to put it.

God is the Man and is definitely in control.
Cast your cares upon the sea of tranquility,
which by the way He will never let you drown in.
Think about what a difference you'll make.
God has never been wrong.

I don't think so. I've thought about this quite often, and the bible tells us that it took Noah alot of years to build the Ark, and that he was a preacher of righteousness. So the whole time he was building the Ark he was preaching and warning people of the event that was going to take place. The people had a right to believe or not to believe. It will be pretty much the same when Jesus comes back.

No, He never is wrong in His judgement after giving all chances (all their life) to everyone to just listen, obey His commandments and live with it with the influence of LOVE.
Because of rampant evilness in thoughts, words and in deeds without returning back to godliness in the whole population except Noah`s family, thus...the punishment.
It is just right.
Now, in the future...if still everybody don`t listen to the greatest Prophet/Messiah/Son of God/Jesus Christ...that He is the way to the Almighty Father, thus telling us to turn away from sins, that Heaven and hell and truly existing... that when He returns to Earth...those who had not tried turning away from sins, will be burnt out in eternity...while those children of God will have life everlasting, Amen.

In the last days ,so shall they be as the days of Noah.
Look around you ,the Christians are warning you.
Noah warned the people-they rejected his words.Just as the world is rejecting the warning today.
GOD CAN DO WHAT EVER HE WANTS.
\O/ Praise God \O/
