Some comedian, George Carlin I think, once said "there is only one 'The Church'." He meant the Catholic Church. People consider the Catholic Church public in a manner they just don't consider, for instance, the Episcopalians or the Baptists.
Yet even atheists are potential Catholics. Perhaps their complaints are a sign they instinctively recognize that the Catholic Church is indeed the true Church of God. The Catholic Church is theirs, too, even as they reject Her.
Consider it a backhanded compliment.

Because the Catholic church, and the church in general, is a powerful institution that has influence over powerful people. This influence affects legislation and there are many people who do not want antiquated science, philosophy, and social standards impressed upon us in the present time.
Also, Jesus never said he was God. Son of God can mean a lot of different things, not simply God's Son as it is understood today. Jesus lived in a patriarchal society where women were viewed as property, thus, why would he call women to be his apostles. And there are extra biblical books that record Jesus having female disciples - those that are included in the Bible are biased. And I think the Islamic faith has more on their hands to worry about right now, which is probably one reason it is being overlook, or at least not played up right now.
It is a dangerous game to claim to know God's will absolutely. Are you God? A finite mind cannot comprehend the infinite and omnipotent friend. Certainly we can have faith that we know what God's will is, but never absolutely.

I'm a latest convert to the Catholic Church after a long time as a Bible-believing Protestant and I uncover it disappointing to look such a lot of persons round me at church who appear disinterested and disconnected, going via the motions as a substitute robotically and hustling out as soon as their responsibility has been fulfilled. This is rather unhappy, because the Mass, for me, is a situation wherein one encounters Christ such a lot instantly and in my opinion within the liturgy, the Word, and the Eucharist. So many 'cradle Catholics' appear to have ignored the factor totally. Anyway, this hindrance approximately wherein to worship God great got here up in a Samaritan lady's dialog with Jesus as defined in John bankruptcy four. Jesus mentioned the Jews had it proper by means of centering worship in Jerusalem however that what such a lot deeply mattered used to be that persons worship God in spirit and actually anyplace they're, and that the Father "seeks" such worshippers. You appear to be one in all them. So uncover a situation wherein there are persons who worship God absolutely from the guts, honor Jesus Christ as Lord, and who search to study and reside the Scriptures. You could uncover the easy preaching of a Baptist (or so-referred to as "non-denominational') church fresh and exciting, and also you could check out an Assemblies of God church wherein the expressive worship will shock you - however please do not feel it if any of those Protestant businesses say Catholics are not Christians in any respect - that is without difficulty in mistakes. (Oh, and I'm pleased anyone else cleared up the that means of the signal of the go for you - I are not able to think the way you obtained the improper influence approximately this).

I am a Christian and would like to say that many of the disciples were married, so then why doesn't the catholic church follow the disciples examples? The disciples were followers of Christ. So Just because Jesus wasn't married, doesn't mean priests can't be. The Word of God says it is not good for man to be alone. Meaning He needs a wife. and it is good to have a wife. But it is specific in God's word that any leader in the church, preacher, pastor or priest must be the husband of one wife.......so the catholic church only picks and chooses what they want and interpret it how they want it, to accommodate their lifestyles.Yes, God is the same yesterday, today and forever and He never told the Catholic church priests to be celibate or to change doctrine like they have. There were also many woman who taught in the synagogues (christian Jews who followed Christ).

Hi sheldon. God tells us in His Holy Word the Bible that women should not have authority over a man or be teaching or preaching to men. In 1 Timothy 2:11-12 God gives us His rules:
"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man;"
God says more in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35:
"Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. 35 And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church."
God is very clear about this, women are not to preach in churches, whether it be Mother Angelica on EWTN or Tammy Faye Baker on some cable network channel, woman are not to preach.
Now, it is OK for a woman to teach Sunday school to children or to teach other women, because these are not adult men.
Some may say, 'well if there are no qulified men, isn't it OK for a woman to lead the congragation? Isn't it better for a woman to teach than let the church die?' No. When churches begin straying from his word He lets the church die.
There were 7 chuches mentioned in Revelations 1:11 (Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea) that were located in Aisa Minor, which is now Turkey, these churches are no longer there. Christianity has all but disappeared from that area, it in now but a remnant there.
Is this because women were preaching in their churches? I don't know. There probably many reasons why these churches died. But the point is God does let Churches die when they no longer are true to his word.

Why do people try to tell the Catholic Church how to worship? Because they can. Not that it does them any good mind you. The Catholic Church has a Pope and directing the Church is his job.

Because those outside of the Catholic church like any other religion. (including atheists..A religion of unbelief) try to convince others that what they believe is the truth.

someone has to tell them how... they sure do not listen to God... The Roman Catholic doctrin is against the teaching of Jesus The Christ who is God. If all on knows is RC doctrin and teaching that one has never heard The Truth of The Salvation message. One who only knows RC teaching has no assurance of Savation. Not even the pope can say he is going to heaven because he dose not know if he is... and no priest can tell anyone thay are going to Heaven beause it si against RC law for him to do so.... this is directly against the teaching of Jesus The Christ.
