"Me gustas"( I like you) is fine, because "Te queiro mucho" means " I love you very much". You choose, the second one will sound as love confession and shows that you want him.
Have a great day!

Te gusto or te quiero if you "like" him. Just a bit of advice, if it's the second one, be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. It can be extremely frustrating. My boyfriend speaks Spanish and is learning English, and although he knows a good amount, it still gets very frustrating.

say yo tequiro mucho gusto. I don't know if the spelling is correct and it might be telling him that you love him very much! get an english to spanish translation book to be sure. you could just say que pasa mi amigo and put your hand on his arm....he'll understand what you mean. actions speak louder than words!

If you like him in a romantic interest sort of way, you can say
"(Tú) me gustas", which is like "I fancy you"
"Te quiero", which is "I want you" or "I love you" (in an affectionate sort of way")
"Te amo", "I love you" (deeply)
If you just mean you think he's a good sort of guy, you like hanging out with him as a friend, etc. use
"Tú me caes bien"
