I'd mentally focus on why you're there, which is to be there for the person who's graduating.
Despite what some of the other answerers have said, this is not the right occasion to be trying to "stick it" to the "ex-witch" ... if there even is ever such an occasion.
It's not the ex-witch's day, nor is it yours. It's the graduate's.

Go chic, Jackie Kennedy classy. A really cool suit, sensible heels, matching purse, the latest jewelry. Go as designer as you can afford.
Think upscale department store. Make sure your make-up is trendy-if on a budget, drop by the cosmetic counters to see what to wear, then go by it at Wal-mart or Walgreens.
Have your hair done, do something trendy, if you can. If you dye, make sure it is a good job.
Maybe even treat yourself to a make-up make-over.
And smile, and be confident. That will get her worse than anything. And be sure to pick something out to wear that you do not have to fuss with. Fussing with your clothes says you are nervous, and unsure of yourself.

Wearing a nice, semi-casual dress and regular heels would be appropriate. Youre not there to impress anyone, youre there to support the graduate...if you are the graduate...be proud of yourself...job well done! The gown should be proof youre better than some shallow, hauty cow anyway. ;-)
BTW...Don't the gowns cover the dress? They did at my graduation....
