in heaven you get a perfect body under the eyes of jesus and the father but what do you personaly gain that you didnt have like being able to fly powers as in not godly powers but like if i wanted a cheeseburger i could snap my fingers and poof what kind of things would someone get in heaven

As in states in my question I need to interview a person practicing a form of Judaism for a project I have in school. I was having very bad dreams about one and half years ago. THese dreams were so scary and at the time my husband was deployed so my children slept in my bed i had prayed to God to send a angel of protection around me and the children to keep us safe as we sleep and to protect our dreams. My little boy who did not hear this prayer at all asks me the next day who was that lady in our room. He said she had flowers on her head and a pretty dress and she was there to eat my bad dreams. Now my son has seen ghost many of times all of them scared him except this one. SO what do you think? Gaurdian angel?

I am a theological/art history student, i'm not of any religion, and i'm not athiest. but i was wondering WHY you believe the religious views that you believe in?

And i don't want any useless answers like "Because it's right."

Well, why is your religion or view right over ALLLLL of the others in this world that exist or ever have existed? And i mean it, let's be realistic here. Try not to give an answer like "Because god said so," or "because it's in the bible." Tell me HOW does that make you right?

I do work for a shipping company and I need some advice on a moral matter.

You see one day I and Joe, another born again christian, accidentally opened a shipping container full of fancy imported wine. We did not want it to spoil, so we each took 75 crates for safe keeping in our garages.

There was no way our supervisor was going to give us any grief - he is a decent christian man and we gave him 100 notes to keep his mouth shut.

The problem is the insurance company investigator. This guy is threatening to get the police involved. I told him I dont know nothing about the wine and that I go to church and whatnot. But he thinks I am lying and wont get off my back.

My wife is telling me to sell the 75 crates of wine out the back of a place I know, and then tell the investigator that Joe did the whole thing. That way we get this guy off my back, and stitch Joe up.

But Joe owes me $500 bucks. If he goes down, I don´t get paid.

How can I get my money and blame Joe?

i've asked before but i seem to get the same answer. if they are your friends they'll be happy for you. if your a guy and all your friends are girls how do you tell them you're gay and you luv being feminine. is there someway i can tell if they already know. they are my dearest friends and i don't want to lose them as friends. thanks so much.

lets say you are in the hospital room with the one you love most dearly , and they are about to die,,, and the last words they tell you is,,,, my feet are on fire ,,im burning , they are pulling me down in hell,,,,
would you reconsider what you think about God and repent ,,,, and believe on Him?
This is a hard question i know , but it has happened to many people .
i dont ask these hard questions to be mean, i ask because i love you and dont want any to go there,,,, so if i may provoke a few to think about it ,,, i will,,,,,, love and prayers

I have my own personal opinions about this and am a devout Christian. I know what the Bible says. However, I want to see what others believe about this subject. For example, how do we justify the fact that "abomination" is also used to describe anyone who wears clothes made of two different materials?

Or that God never once condemns Solomon for his polygamous lifestyle, instead calling him the wisest man who ever lived?

Ive heard again and again that the goal of most if not all of secret societies and conspiring governments is a New World Order, or a world government. My boyfriend and I set a 25 dollar limit this year for christmas. 2 weeks ago I came across a cusion's profile on myspace whom I havent seen since we were little kids, I sent her a message saying I dont get on much but if she wants to add me then go ahead, today I see she wrote me back with this:
"Subject: so yah...
Body: I don't know what your last name is anymore so I can't add u.... :) "

I didnt realize it, but I did have the options set to not let anyone add me unless they know my last name or email addy, but since she didnt say anything about ME adding HER, plus that little smily face on the end, I get the impression shes nicely telling me to buzz off. But I'll admit, I do tend to read too much into things a lot , Thats why I'm posting this to see how others read it; how to you interpret her responce? Thanks

I had been asked to come to a mormon church just to see what it is like. So I did go with lots of caution. I didn't really see much differences in their belief and my own. The only thing that I can see different is the way the take sacriment and we call what we do communinon. The both religions belief in Christ came as a man, died on the cross and roses again. The services are different as there isn't much praise and worship like what I am use to. Plus they talk too much about Joseph more then they talk about Christ. I did tell the person that had invited me that I wasn't interested after I checked it out. Not for me. So what do you think about that??

Its hard for me to understand how the bible is holy when it was written and put together by men. We can take example of our church today and see how sometimes these people are not performing the will of god but their own selfish interests. What makes people from their era so much different than ours? If anything I would think they would be more corrupt because they do not have the cynicism they have today. We can say it was inspired from God but where is the proof?

If there is a "God" and this "God" supposedly gave us free will, then wouldnt flooding the entire world and killing millions of people infringe on free will. The people were evil, you might say. Were the children evil? was every person evil? did noah not make mistakes? because if he didnt that would make him Jesus and if he did that would make him sinful. Also, how could Noah and his family replenish the earth? How did they get every single animal on earth? and by twos nonetheless. And would the ship not be diseased and therefor lead to the deat of noah and his family. or did "God" make it so that none of the animals had deficate the whole time?

You put a question in here, IN THE RELIGIOUS section, asking fellow Christians to pray for someone, and they do, in fact they are all so kind I couldn't pick just one from all the Christian brother's and sisters in Christ that answered. So I asked the Yahoo Answers group to help me and pick one, and, naturally it had to be from a non-believer. Why? When obviously, my question and details showed I am a Christian, and I believe in the power of payer. The best answer chosen, doesn't go along with my request question, or my added details.
