Yes. Flooding the world to destroy the evils of humanity would infringe on free will. There is no true free will in Christianity. It is only a term they throw around to convince themselves that their choice is based on something other than fear of an unlikely punishment.
Even if Noah and his family were good people, while every other person in the world was evil, if god gave humans free will, then they had the freedom to choose evil. If you give someone a choice, you need to be prepared for the possibility that they will not choose what you wanted them to. If you give someone a choice, knowing that they will not choose the "right" answer and having a punishment in store for them in just that case, then you have set them up and are denying them free will. It is the spiritual equivalent of entrapment.

God made up his own mind to flood the earth, He didn't take a vote, so free will had no part in it. All the people were evil (children too) "Every imagination was only evil continually" (sounds like TV today) Noah made mistakes, the Bible doesn't say he was perfect, it says he was blameless - that is he dealt with his sins as God directed. (read about his sacrifices) Noah was Noah, Jesus was Jesus. How did Adam and Eve plenish the earth, the same way Noah replenished the earth, not all that hard to underestand. Got the animals with God's help, and yes science has shown that all the animals could easily fit into the ark. Apparently the ship did not get diseased because they all came out alive. Hope that helps.

Too many questions, babe! But what if God just Allowed the flood? Like, the baby puts the bowl of oatmeal on his head and you don't stop him? Here's my own scientific version of the deluge (remember, you heard it here first!): 1) The earth was surrounded by an envelope of water (check day 3 of creation: waters under the earth, water above the earth). 2) There was no dust in the atmosphere for droplets to form around. 3) Some dingbat adventurer caused a catastrophic explosion (look at the gash in the African continent in pictures from outer space) that opened the fountains of the deep and threw dust in the air so the moisture condensed into raindrops and poured down. Being evil and making mistakes didn't cost anybody their life. Theyl only had to do one thing right: Get in the ark and stay there!... Replenishing the earth was easy: Same way Adam and Eve did it A lot of us really enjoy "replenishing the earth"... If you had 120 years starting now, you could do it.... Hibernation? Juveniles? Eggs, cocoons? Maybe the Creator who knew how to 1) predict the deluge, 2) design the boat, 3) bring in the animals and shut the door, knew how to take care of the technical details??

The bible states that the hearts of men were evil all the time. Only Noah and his family were found to be without total evil on their minds and hearts. (not perfect)
It is hard for us to imagine an earth where only evil was thought of all the time, but that is how it was during that time.
Noah, while not sinless by a long shot and his sons and their wives were found to still have a heart for God and his will and his way.
The others around him were offered many opportunities to believe in what was going to happen. They chose to mock and tease Noah. After all, here was a man stating that the earth was going to be flooded and it had never even rained , let alone stormed or flooded. Still all around him refused to believe what Noah was telling them.
Imagine a single person in your town starts building a huge underground bunker. He tells you when you ask about it, that he is going to fill it with his family and two of every land creature on the earth because God is going to destroy the top of the earth.
You and every one else that hears of this will laugh at him and call him a bit looney toons. You would reject this mans explanation as crazy and continue on your own life. You used your free will to reject what was told to you. Your free will was not infringed on at all, you used it and used it to reject the warning.
Noah and his family replentished the earth the same way that Adam and Eve replentished the earth, they had children.
Back when the ark was being built, humans still lived in harmony with the animals. The animals were not made afraid of humans until after they left the ark after the flood waters receeded. God then gave the green light to eating the flesh of the animals (certain ones), He also stated that the animals would now fear man.
As for what happened with sustaining life on the ark. The bible states that God himself shut the ark up and sealed it. God is also the one that unsealed it, so that the occupants could disembark. God took care of all on the ark during the time of their captivity. No other details are given. If the bible took the time to detail every story in it, we wouldnt be able to carry it, let alone ever read the entire thing even once.

>>>would flooding the earth infring on free will the free will that "God" gave humans?>>>
No, because if it did, then one could argue that death also infringes on our free will. The flood was not an infringement on free will -- it was a consequence of the wrongful use of free will.
>>>The people were evil, you might say. Were the children evil? was every person evil?<<<
Apparently so -- at least to the extent that they utterly rejected God and wanted no part of Him in their lives.
>>>did noah not make mistakes?>>>
Of course he did, but there's a big difference between making mistakes (which we all do) and totally rejecting God (which is on a whole other plane).

You ask some good questions. Mankind doesn't understand nor have the answers to your questions. The Bible says "it was done" so we have to believe without totally understanding. God would NOT put all the animals and such on a boat with humans and and let them make the humans sick. The stables were kept clean and the animals fed.
How was all that done? God has unlimited powers and nothing was/is impossible. Noah wasn't perfect. NO human is.
The flood came after God looked down on earth and seen nothing but sin, as it almost is now, and decided to destroy it, and so he did, men, women, children and most everything else.
We just have to believe the Bible. Good luck. Pops

ONE QUESTION TO ANSWER IS QUITE ENOUGH
People can only handle a sound bite at a time.
FREE WILL The reason for the flood was the violence on the earth at the time. When one sin becomes pervasive as that one is, it requires dramatic action. Since God is alert to any potential repentence [sending Jonah and the whale to Ninevah] that would have been in order, but apparently repentence was not going to be in the offing.
NOAH
19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female,
to keep them alive with you.
20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of
creature that moves along the ground WILL COME TO YOU to be kept alive.
21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as
food for you and for them."
22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

were there millions then?
No it was also done in mercy. the human population were literally killing eachother and BAD. God's mercy saved a remnant. (Noah). who apparently maintained his free will as the first thing he did was to build an alter to God. The second recorded event was when he got drunk and naked in his tent. Noah wa able to accomplish the loading of the animals because God put them in the ark and God closed the door. The ship was of divine instruction and design not like things people would plan out. there were also consideration for "deficating" read the whole event in your bible. it's awesome. God is longsufferring and His ways are not our ways. It had never rained before, Noah's faith, like Abraham's (Heb.11) was counted to him for righteousness. The same for us today. God is mindful that we are but dust, a vapor, He knows what is in man and has been extremely long-sufferring and merciful. Never infringing on anyone's free will and forgiving our short comings and providing a redeemer for of us of His own Son. READ IT!

Death does not negate freewill. Even though God has given us these lives complete with freewill, he has also given us self-determination. (meaning our actions determine our fates) He expects us in a faithful response that we will spend our lives in service of him worshipping him and loving others but most of us dont. Likewise punishment doesnt negate freewill nor do curses. We were free to committ the crime, then we do the time!
Were the children and babies of the flood evil? Cannot God see into peoples hearts and see faith and deeds before they ever think their 1st thought? Or is God powerless in your mind?
Did Noah mistakes? Of coarse. But there is a difference between a righteous man that sins every once in a while compared to an unrighteous person that LIVES in sin and is proud of it!
How could Noah replenish the earth with his DNA? Perhaps with Gods help. Did not God make all of mankind to begin with?
How did the animals make it through? Probably through wise care. Just because animals do their business doesnt mean there is going to be disease. God probably aided him in picking out specimans that were disease-free to begin with.

re-read the Bible. Read it from a perspective of then and there, not here and now with your knowledge of the whole world, but what the world meant to Noah and his neighbors.
Not the whole world, Noah's world. Not all the animals, The animals Noah knew about.
"Free will" means to choose harmony or disharmony. It's as simple as that. Each day you have that free will, flood or no flood.
