You put a question in here, IN THE RELIGIOUS section, asking fellow Christians to pray for someone, and they do, in fact they are all so kind I couldn't pick just one from all the Christian brother's and sisters in Christ that answered. So I asked the Yahoo Answers group to help me and pick one, and, naturally it had to be from a non-believer. Why? When obviously, my question and details showed I am a Christian, and I believe in the power of payer. The best answer chosen, doesn't go along with my request question, or my added details.

Believing in something doesn't make it true. Try it for yourself - believe that the sun won't rise tomorrow, and see how that goes.
That said, I usually don't vote 'thumbs down' unless someone is being very rude or advocating a position that has been shown many times not to be true (i.e., telling someone in the science section that the Earth is 6000 years old or that Jupiter is a star). And when I ask a question, I try to pick the person who best answered the question, and not the one I necessarily agree with. Sorry that wasn't the case for your question.

It just goes to show you, that you need to do things yourself if you want your own heart and actions to shine through the deed. You participate in this community. You see how people just want to be heard and don't want to hear. What did you think was going to happen? That all the people who answered would come back and evaluate the other answers and vote? Most of the time people do not go back to questions they have answered and most of the time people who vote for best answer vote for themselves.
Next time make the choice yourself and thank everyone when you do so.
Peace!

I don't know the answer, but that seems to be the way it is. Yet, my being a Christian, I am obligated to pray for people. I don't know the reason for your request that you mentioned, but I am sure that there should be a Christian to satisfactorily answer your question.
You know that answers to prayers comes from the strangest places and oddest manners.
May God Bless.

Computers are only as smart as man makes them. Perhaps an atheists designed that particular mode. I wouldn't let it worry me in the least. Hey, even the devil may have had a hand in it. You know better than the computerized answer. Good luck, Pops

How could you depend upon imperfect humans for the answer to something divine? Decide who you really want the help from (us or God) and leave it with whom you choose. But I believe that God answers prayers but not all of them. Pray with a purpose not to yahoo users but to Jah.

If you give people the opportunity to choose, you must be prepared for the possibility that they may not choose what you would have.
