I find the trinity hard to believe being that it's not in the bible.
Does it even matter? Can I still be saved if I dont believe in the trinity? Is it a "maker or breaker", when it comes to salvation?

Why do some white pepole not like rap music. They say its talks about drugs, sex, and violence. But at the same time rock music talks about sex, violence, the devil, and other evils. I like some rock music myself and I see the same vulgar language used. I think its passed down from different white peoples familys because early rap music like N.W.A. talked about what was really happening in the streets for black people like crack, killings, rape, and racist people. The white people at that time did not want to here that so they labeled rap trash and is has been passed down to their chlidren. Thats my opinion. What do you think?

LONDON, Nov. 10 — Prime Minister Tony Blair said today that the threat from home-grown Islamic terrorism would last “a generation,” reinforcing a highly unusual warning by the head of the MI5 domestic intelligence agency that some 1,600 suspects in 200 terrorist cells were under surveillance. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/10/world/europe/11terrorcnd.html?ei=5094&en=f05d4de4520d8581&hp=&ex=1163221200&adxnnl=1&partner=homepage&adxnnlx=1163183121-eVTcmQ8+CprzbNrREAGp+Q

To those knee-jerk leftists who would respond to this query with political correctness: Tell me what your fear is about questions like this.

I mean, is it your naive belief that, so long as Americans have a simplistic and Disneyworld view of all religions or Islam in particular, everything will be fine and this Islamist terror threat will eventually go away like the malignant tumor you had an herblist treat with witches brew?

Like you, I wish the world were just like a John Denver song...sadly I know its not.

what is your favorite bible quote (please post) and why?

2006-11-10 05:32:59 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

It's all about love, about a love so great that the Son of God left His Father's presence to enter this evil world and die a very painful death for us. It's teaches about forgiveness, and praying for others even when they are cruel to you. How is that bad? You cannot deny that love and forgiveness is a good thing. And it teaches against sin, against lying, murdering, stealing, etc, etc... And you can't tell me that those things are bad. So what is so bad about christianity? What do you see in it that is wrong?

as a Jewish person I believe the prophecies that led to Jesus as our messiah-and He said he would send things and do miracles-in Acts chapter 1 he told about them what does it say about how he will return-clue Zechariah 12 vs 10 and Acts chapter 1 verse 11

Zechariah says "When we shall see him whom we have pierced, we will mourn as a mom for her only lost son."
Acts 1:11 "As you have seen Him go into heaven so shall We see him coming back from the clouds....

how will we know its him -many today say they are Jesus the Jewish messiah--but werent born in Bethlehem Micah 5:1 from eternity,

and did they come from the sky? how do we know who the Messiah Jesus is

To Whom It May Concern..

Don't know if I can make the grade,
It's been so long since the fade.
Writing poems was my pastime,
Now I wonder in my blurred mind,
If I could even make a rhyme.
The one I love has disappeared,
He doesn't want to even be near,
Or close enough to talk in prose,
So I have decided just to close,
The heart that was so full of him.
It was overflowing to the brim.
Now I cry day and night,
So much for love it took a flight,
Into the blue up above,
Flying free like a dove,
Pure and white and so carefree,
Evidently done and over with me......
He looks at me then looks away,
His walk is now slower with a sway.
The warrior I knew is no longer there,
He seems down trodden and unaware,
Of love that hovers still for thee,
To last throughout eternity.......

Serious question. What is the best way for a business to handle business dealings with a church? For example, say I got in some repairs from a church this week and don't feel right charging them for my services. Should I do the work for free or charge them my normal rate? What should a religious person do in such a situation?

Question is open to all serious answers. Thanks in advance.
