Are christians acting just like their god condemning and preaching everyone but hardly following the same things in their own life?

Because the Christian god makes absolutely no logical sense, that's why.

Neither does Jesus, but that's a story for another day.

He may withhold forgiveness, because he is God. When you are God, you may have the same privilege.

My opinion (mine, not necessarily God's) is that we must forgive, because we do not know what is in each other's hearts, though we often like to believe we do. God knows the heart, so he doesn't have to play it safe.

Many people who call themselves Christians don't forgive, but they are not really Christians. John said if you say you love God, but hate your neighbor, you are a liar and do not know God.

God requires Christians to be like Christ. I don't know where your quote came from . I haven't read anything like it in the Bible. The Holy Spirit gives us the strength to forgive others when we don't have the strength or the will.

Maybe it coincides with the 'Vengence is Mine' sayith the lord thing.

I can seek revenge against man BUT man cannot seek revenge against man.

Not a Christian, just trying to be fair and unbalanced...I watched Faux this morning.

Perhaps He is trying to teach us how to be mature adults that should forgive others who wrong us rather than holding grudges. Perhaps He is telling us that the rules He has set for us are not the same rules that He has to abide by. Perhaps He's telling us that our relationship with him isn't one of equals. It isn't a democracy. It isn't fair. It just is.

Or perhaps he's telling us to leave the judging of others' worthiness for salvation up to Him, and for us to worry about ourselves and how we treat others.

Lots of possibilities.

Apparently the ancient Hebrews (and modern Christians) never developed morally past the crude idea that "might makes right."

Because he's a power hungry hypocritical monster who wants to see us all suffer for his own pleasure.

... oh yea, and he's completely fictional.
