This may be time-consuming, but it wouldnt be terribly expensive. You could take a bunch of really meaingful photographs (family, friends, pictures of past family members, pictures of you and your husband, grandkids, etc) and make them into a calender. My brother and his wife did this for my parents, and they were extremely blessed! Really, anything personal would work just great. If either dad is a "workshop" kind of guy, you could have your husband make a special plaque made from wood, carved with "So and so's workshop". One year at Christmas, my mom selected many beautiful beads and created a rosary for my grandma. It moved her to tears! It was personal and very unique. Anyway... I hope that you find the perfect gift! Good luck!

You can make ornaments with a picture of you two on them or write "Merry Christmas 2006 Love (your names)" on them. Another good idea would be to make a wreath for them. I've made a wreath for my parents when money was short and it only cost about $4.00 for the materials. They still have it and it meant more knowing that it was made by me than me just buying it. I hope this helps out!

this year i got gifts for 8 friends (girls) what i did was buy 8 movie packs of candy(all different kinds) and wrapped them i tied a card to the top and they loved it! i also put a candy cane on the envelope on the card. so in all i spent around $14. at walmart they also have a box of 24 big candy canes for $3. since you can spend $5 per person tho, i would get each of them--- -a box of movie theater candy($1 @ walmart) -a fun sized pack of candy bars($0.98 @ walmart) - a bon bons lip gloss($0.98 @ walmart) OR -get a bulk sized thing of lip smackers chap stick/lip gloss and give each one 1 (around $8 walmart) so the total could be around $3 per person OR you could get them -fuzzy socks($4 @walmart, come 2 in a pack, so if you splip the pack it ould be $2 per person) -a mug and fill it with hot coco mix, candy cane, little candy bars good luck!

I like the calendar idea, only I would personalize it with photos for the 12 months. Include their kids' photos from when they grew up; very touching for those who have everything, and not too expensive.

A scrapbook one for each family. Begin with the grandparents or great grandparents, and continue thru to your wedding. Leave pages to add new additions.
