"Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)

If something is done by faith, therefore, it must be done because thats what the Word teaches. If it is not taught in the Word, then the action can't be by faith, because faith comes by hearing the Word.

In Hebrews 11, we see several people who did things "by faith". For example, by faith Noah built an ark. Why did Noah build an ark? Because that's what God told him to do. This faithful work was based on the word of God, because that's how faith comes (by hearing the word of God).

Faith is believing and trusting God enough to do what he says to do in the way he says to do it.

We hear the word of God which leads us to have faith and then we heed His instructions, that is works that are of faith.

In contrast to this, works that are of ourselves, are not based on submitting to God's word, but it is when men try to follow his own way or the authority of some other person. It's a matter of who guides your life. Is it God, through his word, or are you following your own desires and a man-made doctrine?

i am not sure what kind of answer you need...

but i am assuming that WORKS of faith means
something that one does because of his/her faith (in Christ).

that would differentiate it from just mere works of "faith"
which one does for a number of reasons, such as to showoff, to feel good, to get something in return, to earn a place in heaven, or even appease or bribe God.

but if my assumption is correct then those kind of WORKS will include everything the believer does (everything, even when no one is looking).

for to have real faith in Christ, is to put all your trust in Him in all things.

These are works that rise from the faith that brings salvation. They sort of prove that your faith is genuine.
