A situation has come up--someone needs help, and they need it fast.

You have a way to help them. This will take an hour of your time, and will cost you, oh, let's say $20 or the equivalent (i.e., gas money, giving them something, etc.) This will, however, inconvenience your daily life in a somewhat significant way--you may be late for work, or you may have to get someone else to pick the kids up from the bus, so on.

You can also pray for them instead, without doing anything.

Which would you do?

Ok first of all think about this everybody knows there is racism in this world and quite possibly always will be but there is obviously a reason for it. (This is in no way ment to offend anyone just for the record sodont write that i am racist and all that crap) ok check it out... why are their sterotypes on people...example all blacks are thugs who wear their pants too low and drink 40s from their porch and if you see them at night and your alone go a different direction and they all wear cloths that are way to big on them and cant shut up and they have to be loud all the time. ect. now why is that perseption there... because we still see it and that will never go away. i guess the best way to put it is if anybody calls somebody predudice for saying something regurding an ethnic group (or sex) think about why.. the simple answer is not because we are racist or sterotypical it because that is what we see still. To end racism everybody will need to stop being what they are...

I'm talking specifically about dealing with people in the church or other Christians in your life who repeatedly live in sin. How do you walk that line between judging them and discouraging their bad habits?
Nonbelievers are welcome to answer as well, but please give constructive answers.

If people thought of the world as they do their own Church, and treat it as if the world were Gods Church would we be in the Global troubles we're in today? Has anyone gone in and stripped their own beauty of their own church as we do to the tree forests and dump oil and garbage on their benches or their alters at Church? To me the World is God made and Churches are built by men, why is man made Churches kept clean, but the God made Church gets trashed? With all the things going on in the world today is God tying to tell us that his Church is more important then our man made churches.

One common argument or claim put forth by Christians today is that the Quran claims That Allah has 3 daughters, those daughters being the pagan godesses of Lat, Manat, and Al-Uzza. Such a claim is very strong indeed, but is there any truth behind this claim? Does the Quran actually state that Allah has three daughters?

To back this claim up, the Christians often quote one Quranic passage, and then think they have proven their point, let us quote this passage:

053.019
YUSUFALI: Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza,

053.020
YUSUFALI: And another, the third (goddess), Manat?

Christians love to quote these two verses and then stop, the question we must ask such Christians is why do they stop there? Is their holy spirit too afraid to quote the rest of the passages? Since Christians claim to be inspired by the holy spirit then what is the holy spirit hiding here? Let us now quote the rest of the passages:

053.021
YUSUFALI: What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?

053.022
YUSUFALI: Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!

053.023
YUSUFALI: These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!

So had the Christians care to carry on, they would see that Allah exposes them making such a lie! Allah tells them that they the pagans have invented these false idols, and that it is something corrupt.

We must ask why do Christians not quote the rest? In fact I will not hold the Christians responsible for such deceit, but I will hold the holy spirit responsible. Christians claim the holy spirit inspires them, if that is true then the holy spirit is inspiring them to be untruthful, and to be distorters of truth, and to try and make up a lie. And such actions cannot be coming from a holy being, rather such action is inspired by someone called Iblis, who is shaytan, because only shaytan inspires people to make a lie against Allah and his Noble Quran.

whom would you smite and why? Are there any people you would definately say were hellbound? This includes atheists as it is a hypothetical question. Even though you do not believe in God, just imagine you could smite anyone you like for whatever reason? Who would it be......please do not say me, as I am a very nice Christian, who would not like being smote at all.

I recently adopted a child. I am having an adoption celebration/brunch at a local restaraunt. However Im being charged $25 per person, and want to keep the headcount down to 50. My guestlist is at 45, so if the invited guest brings a guest, I'll be going way over budget. I'm trying to find a polite way of telling everyone in the invitation that they cant bring a guest, without sound tasteless.

Not too long ago, a guy posted a question in the Religion & Spirituality section asking if babies would talk in heaven. For some reason, I sensed that this was supposed to a facetious or mocking question, so I thought that such a facetious question deserved an equally facetious answer. For that reason, I answered, "Yeah, and they'll also sing Elvis songs." I thought it was kind of funny, and apparently someone else did, too, because I got a thumbs up. However, for some reason, I think that someone must have been offended, because my answer was taken off. What's up with that? I've seen PLENTY of answers and questions that were 10 times more offensive than that and were never removed.

jesus is running a bit late isn't he? According to Matthew 16:28 jesus tells his deciles that they will be alive by the time he returns. "16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." Either jesus lied, the bible lied or there is some 2,000 year old bloke running round somewhere.

I am atheist and strongly oppose abortion. I would like to do my part in helping laws get passed that would put an end to this horrible practice. However I insist that I not be preached at or told on a regular basis "God bless" I feel that this is insulting to my personal beliefs. Is there an organization that would respect my wishes and not throw God in my face whenever I want to do my part in helping abolish abortion?

If you came home and found your man dressed in your heels, hosiery and lingerie how would you react?

If he just had a penchant, how would this affect your relationship?

What if he wanted to wear heels, lingerie and hosiery everyday mixed with his male clothes? Or if he wanted to wear a skirt and dress as a girl from the waist down but be a guy from the waist up?

Would / Could you appreciate his smooth legs and tight butt looking good in heels and hosiery?

Obviously no so how do you know he was 900?

Don't jump so fast... if a Chinese person read the Bible today then 900 would be interpreted different to them because they use a different calendar.....

Every single human thought is guided by the acceptance that the reality we perceive is real and that our sense are not lying to us. Therefore everything is just a belief. Therefore, can we stop trying to morally equate things on the basis that they need to be believed. Of course they do. Anything you accept as true is something you believe so why does the fact that belief is necessary negate the overall truth value of anything?

Why do people think that because something is a belief it must be comepletly equatable with anything else that is a belief.
