The Pope does communicate with God. This communication is called prayer and all of us can communicate with God.
God does work miracles through the Pope and all priests:
+ The bread and wine is changed into the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass
+ Sins are forgiven in Confession
+ The Holy Spirit given to people through Baptism and Confirmation
+ Others are ordained in Christ by laying on of hands in Holy Orders
+ Couples are permanently united in Christ through Marriage.
+ The sick are spiritually strengthened in the Anointing of the Sick
With love in Christ.

The Pope does not do cheap road side side-shows to collect a few coins to fuel his Charas addiction.
By the way can you describe any documented 'Magic trick' by Indian Saints as for that matter any religion in the world including Christanity. Religions are based on teachings for society to lead a civilised life. Cheap illusions do not have any place in any religion.

The Roman Catholic Church or Catholic Church is the Christian Church in full communion with the Bishop of Rome, currently Pope Benedict XVI. It traces its origins to the original Christian community founded by Jesus, with its traditions first established by the Twelve Apostles and maintained through unbroken Apostolic Succession.
The Church traces its institution to Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, in particular Saint Peter, the leader of the Apostles, who is regarded as the first Pope. The first known use of the term "Catholic Church" was in a letter by Ignatius of Antioch in 107, who wrote: "Where the bishop appears, there let the people be, just as where Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
Central to the doctrines of the Catholic Church is Apostolic Succession, the belief that the bishops are the spiritual successors of the original twelve apostles, through the historically unbroken chain of consecration . The New Testament contains warnings against teachings considered to be only masquerading as Christianity, and shows how reference was made to the leaders of the Church to decide what was true doctrine. The Catholic Church teaches that it is the continuation of those who remained faithful to the apostolic and episcopal leadership and rejected false teachings.

Being a Indian myself, I can tell you, the Indian saints can't perform magics, it is a common misbelief of outer world about India. What they can do is to devote themselves wholeheartedly to the God.
In our mythology we do get informed about some saints performing magics. But they are only mythology, you know.
some say that the saints acquires a power which can only be achieved by total sacrifice. & they can use this power in aid for mankind. Some say that they get eternal communication with God, which helps them to act as an ambassador of God. But these are all sayings.
All of us can communicate with God if we have proper respect in our mind about Him/Her.
Not being a Christian I can't tell about David Blaine. But I can certainly tell you that communication with God doesn't at all mean acquiring power to cast spells or perform magics. In all religion,God is looked upon as a person (??!!) at whom you may find shelter in your needs.
So neither the Pope nor the Indian saints can cast magics but what they can really do is to unveil the way of peace in front of you.
(althogh I never tried it)

Yes like all other people He canm communicate with GOD.
But it doesn't mean that if u communicate with GOD u have to show that to others by performing magic.
Other saints & David performm these magic to earn not because they can communicate with God.
The one who shows that he can communicate with GOD can never be true the one who communicates with GOD will be identified by his behaviour.

The Pope doesn't do cheap tricks.
He does successfully request each day that the Holy Spirit transform ordinary bread and wine into the authentic and substantial body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ for us, and that's something your magicians will never be able to do.

Yes, the Pope does communicate with God just as all of us do.
Being a priest, the Pope can consecrate bread and wine so it becomes the Body and Blood of Christ. He can anoint the sick and bring spiritual and physical healing to the sick. He can anoint others in the Sacrament of Confirmation to increase the gifts of the holy Spirit in a person's life. He can absolve us from our sins and free us from guilt. He can baptize persons, thereby welcoming them into the Body of Christ and remove any original sin.
These things are better than any ILLUSION performed by "Indian saints" or David Blaine
