God is the creator, and so He has the right to govern our lives however He wants. If you make something out of clay, you can shape it however you want, you can make it into a plate, a cup, a bowl, anything. And you can put in or on it whatever you want. You have the right to use it however you see fit as its creator. God is our creator, He has the same right to govern our lives. Unlike the pot, you have a choice of whether you go with God's plan or not. But if you don't, then God doesn't allow you into heaven. You still have the choice, however. It's not as though God's way is going to be bad for you. Obeying God will avoid a lot of problems.
Keeping sex in marriage avoids STDs, working hard will help prevent poverty and grow wealth, showing love to others will heal relationships and make you good friends, etc. Obeying God only results in good things.

Hi, I am Rational Spirituality,
I do not know what dogma are you referring to, but I know God, and I know that your thesis is completely mistaken.
God does not control everything, but he oversees that the laws of the Objective God are in place. Even he, himself, is subject to these laws. The main aspect of these laws states that positive energy is stronger than negative energy, and negative energy is not allowed to win. Everything else from there on, is Spiritual Evolution.
God is not selfish and does not require personal admiration, or subservience. God is serving the Universe on behalf, and to the greatest good, of all of us.
I think that you must have got the wrong end of the stick of some dogma, but dogma is what its name implies, and it is not the Truth about God.
I just wrote to you the Truth about God. If you shut him out of your life, it will be only your own loss, no-one elses.

The diff is that God is good and just, and he always knows the effect of his actions before he does them.
God doesn't force himself or his will on people either. He let's you opt out, even if you're being stupid.
You are free to opt out of heaven as well, leaving only one other choice available.

Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what God has for those who love Him.
