I don't know of any instances either. On the contrary the Messiah says:

Luk 11:9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Luk 11:10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Luk 11:11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[6] a fish, will give him a snake instead?
Luk 11:12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
Luk 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

In the book of Acts, Simon (who use to be a sorcerer) when he saw the Apostles lay their hands on people, and then they received the Holy Ghost, offered money to the Apostles so that he could receive this power to give the Holy Ghost to anyone he put his hands on. I believe it was Peter, who said something like, "May though and thy money perish" because Simon thought that he could buy this spiritual gift. In other words Simon was seeking the Holy Spirit in the wrong way (and maybe in the wrong spirit).

In the Book of Proverbs, it says, "Those who seek me early,
will not find me."
Later, it says, "Those who seek me early will find me."
A contradiction, or talking about two different kinds of people?
There are humans who can travel through the spirit world at
will. And they never learn anything of value, becaue they are
prideful.
And there are those who are nothing to the world. And they have
seen angels.
